Located in the sweeping landscape of the Peak District National Park, Knotlow Farm is a tranquil campsite in an ideal location between Buxton and Bakewell. Great for campers and tourers, pitch up on one of the site's spacious camping fields (family-friendly or adults-only). For those glampers, choose a retreat in one of the pods with a hot tub! Many walking and cycling trails are nearby, including easy access to the famous Limestone Way.

Had 1 night camping with my 7 year old. We cycled there from Ashbourne so it had to be reasonably close to the Tissington trail. We booked in easily then pitched the tent in our allotted field, cooked some food then had our showers. The toilet block was very clean, light and spacious with excellent showers. Overall, the site was clean, tidy and in good repair with good facilities. Although we only stayed 1 night, I wouldn't hesitate to have a longer stay.

We had a lovely stay at Knotlow Farm. We were only there for one night, so didn’t actually spend a lot of time at the campsite! Facilities were good, and we enjoyed that the camping field we were on was adults only.

Just got back from spending 1 night camping - such a beautiful space to camp. Good facilities, great prices for food and fire pits. Amazing breakfast sandwiches! Just a shame about the wasps this morning, which made me drop my sandwich after only a couple of bites, haha!

My wife and I are inexperienced campers and staying in a 2 person tent may not have been the best idea (my wife's first experience!). Although weather was not brilliant, we really enjoyed our stay. The Maple site was nice and quiet and we had no issues with noise. The best part of our stay was the people who own and run the site - nothing was too much trouble. Whilst cycling on Friday evening I got soaked to the skin in a thundery shower and the owner was more than happy to take my wet clothes and dry them (I declined her kind offer, but it is the thought that counts!). Finally, I needed a jump start on Monday morning and within 5 minutes of my request Carl was there to get me started and on my way.

On the day I stopped, pubs close on a Monday and the café in village was not open all day.

Had two nights here with two young kids. We had a nice time. The site was clean and facilities were better than we expected. The shop had everything we needed. We ordered a pizza one night, which was nice, and we hired a firepit for both nights to roast marshmallows. Needing 20p to use the shower was a surprise, but it works well to ensure they don't get hogged. A card ready 20p dispenser would be handy as not many carry cash these days. The area didn't have much, but a short drive led to some nice spots.

Our first visit and it was brilliant. Family owned and run site with a number of fields. Some for large campervans and others just for tents and smaller VW size campervans. Facilities are first class. A large, separate building that has toilet and shower facilities for both sexes and hot and cold drinks machines within this facilities building. Reception has detailed maps of the layout of the site and fields along with essential items in the shop. Firepits, logs, kindling, pizzas and breakfast are all available and are reasonably priced. Dogs are welcome on a lead at all times. My old 13 year old dog loved his chair.

A really great site in beautiful rural surroundings. The location is ideal for exploring the Peak District with a couple of pubs within walking distance. The facilities such as the showers and pot wash area are well maintained and clean, and the added extras such as homemade pizza are great. We stayed on the adults only site so it was very quiet. The other fields appeared to be busier but there was still plenty of room and a nice 'family friendly' buzz.
