What a well kept and clean site. Only stayed 3 nights, but really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026

We loved our stay here. The campsite was clean and well maintained with great facilities (hot showers, clean toilets and the family bathrooms were a great addition). Ideally situated for us to Buxton, Ashbourne and Bakewell, but with smaller villages close by. Walking distance to a lovely farm shop and there's Pomroy petting zoo and shop a bit further up the road. The pitch is an amazing size with plenty of room for a large tent or a few little ones if people aren't sharing tents. And with space for your car too. There's a little play area and lots of space for children to run around. Site managers Becca & Adam were super friendly. And Beccas directions to the pub were spot on (thanks!). We'll be booking again for the next half term.

Lovely family stay

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026

Had a wonderful stay with my two children and their friend. The site was clean, the view lovely and the people friendly. We also enjoyed the park, the little coffee shop at the front of the pub, and there was plenty of facilities ensuring we didn’t have to wait to use showers/toilets. We will most certainly be returning. Thanks 🙂

remote and quiet

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2026

When we arrived it started to snow and within minutes we were stuck in the mud. There is no matting or gravel on the pitches and judging by how much the pitch was turfed up this is a regular occurrence. The next day a van leaving was in the same position. It took one phone call before someone came to help us by providing grip mats. Very helpful and friendly. The site itself is right next to a footpath to the next village with a cafe and a pub. Both good. A good spot for going for some decent walks. The facilities were mixedsex and whilst in a porta-hut were kept exceptionally clean. They must have been cleaned about 4 times a day. Water hot but pressure low. No heating. It has the best wifi connection of any site I have stayed on. Excellent. I think the price is high given the basic facilities. However we enjoyed out stay, once it stopped snowing.

Lovely little site

Amazing place-everything you need but calm and peaceful. Short walk to the pub and good dog walks, clean showers and toilets and friendly staff. Will be back again for sure.
