Had a great 3 night stay and will definitely return. Great campsite and facilities within a beautiful setting. Good local pub at Hulme End within walking distance (10/15 mins) from where you can also catch the 442 bus to Buxton and Ashover. You can pick up good walking trails from the visitor centre at Hulme End. The village of Hartington is approx. 30 mins walk away, either across the fields or along the roadside, and is worth a visit.

Me, my dad and four year old son stayed for 4 nights. The staff were amazing. Our cable for our camper van was broken but Matt saved the day. Matt and his partner were great! My son loved the play and grass area. The facilities and site were spotless and the fire pits were a great touch. The walk to the local pub was beautiful and great pub with great food. Will definitely be coming back! Thanks.

Having previously camped here in a tent, we returned for a cozy weekend in the van and had a great time. We were given a choice of pitch on arrival, including a quieter super pitch away from a larger family with children. We are parents with a young child having a child free weekend off, so this option was great for us. Stunning views and a quiet site, a short walk from the Manifold Inn pub. The super pitch was large, with water and electric, and flat enough that we wouldn’t have felt too uneven without levelling blocks - although we decided to use them. They even let us borrow some tools when we spotted a small problem with the van. A very nice stay!

This site is in a lovely quiet location, stunning scenery, lots of walks directly from the site and lots of cute little Shetland ponies! Quite close to the Manifold Valley and a fairly short drive to the beautiful town of Bakewell. Very good facilities, clean and tidy. A warm friendly welcome form the people that run it. Good for dogs, there's a big field you can walk them in safely. Will be returning!

A lovely family friendly site with beautiful 360 views and plenty of walks on the doorstep. Being able to go and see the ponies on site was a nice added touch. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean, powerful showers too which is a bonus. The site itself was very clean and tidy, never too loud and the evenings were quiet so got plenty of great sleep. Will be returning!

Beautiful site, 5 star amenities. It would have been helpful to know that there were currently building works and the water was off for some time, as was the electricity. Once complete, however, it will be superb.

It was our first time staying at Upper Hurst Farm. Unfortunately, the stay was marred by building works that were incomplete. We had no 240 V electricity when we arrived and the water to the washing up sink had been disconnected. At £33 per night, this would not be expected.
Site's response
Hi John, we're sorry about the building works that were being done. We did have the electricity back on within two hours but the plumbing to the washing up sinks was an oversight, at least one of the sinks was operational the following day. Sadly these sort of builds always lead to unforeseen issues. We would have been happy to reinstate some of your money if you had brought this to us, we try to be fair and reasonable wherever possible. We hope to see you again under different circumstances and are glad you enjoyed the location here.

Upper Hurst Farm touring site (and glamping apparently) is a lovely little site. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are immaculate. The showers and toilets are wonderful. The pitches are well spaced and the site is dog friendly with a field specially allocated for pooches to run around in. We only stayed one night as we had to be elsewhere the next day, but would definitely stay longer when we return, which we will. Highly recommended.

Sadly we were battered by storms Malik and Corrie so probably did not see the site at its best. Excellent washroom, warm with the underfloor heating. Showers hot and strong. Site clean. Gentle walks into the countryside off the site, and to the pub...
