About Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Site
This farm site is based in Barrow On Trent, a quiet Derbyshire village with easy waterside access - on foot you can easily reach both the local river and canal, both good for dog walks. Historic Derby is only 20 minutes away in the car. Hill Farm borders green surroundings and offers both grass and hardstanding pitches with electric for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Stays in the camping pods is a hassle free choice, as each pod is insulated and has electric heating included, plus twin beds. Upgrade to the Plus Pods and you'll be treated to a picnic table and handy mod cons like a fridge, microwave and sink. You'll need to bring camping equipment and bedding with you. Each also comes with a relaxing two person hot tub. The 5m Lotus Belle tents tick all the boxes for a relaxed stay, with space to sleep four and comfy beds supplied inside. You're also able to upgrade to the deluxe 5m Lotus Belle tents which have the added luxury of a four person hot tub and are insulated for the winter months. There are also large 6m Plus Lotus Belle bell tents which can sleep up to six people, kitted out with fridge, freezer, lighting, 240V sockets and USB charging included and a hot tub. Single beds and camp beds are supplied inside. Shared entrance covered to keep you nice and dry, if it rains.
Hardstanding pitches, pods and deluxe bell tents are all available all year round. Grass pitches and the standard bell tents are available from the 1st March.
Facilities include a heated toilet and shower block including disabled facility, power showers within wet room.
The Trent and Mersey Canal, River Trent and three pubs are all within a short walk. Fishing and horse riding are available in the area, plus canoe hire in driving distance.

Used this campsite as a base for a Donnington race weekend. Really enjoyed the stay. Facilities were very good. Warm showers and clean toilets. The campsite had a real family feel to it. Would definitely stay again.

Things to do on site and in the Derby area
You can sizzle up your meals on a BBQ, or nip into Derby city centre for a slap up brekkie. If you don't fancy going far, there are three good pubs in walking distance.
There's fun times to be had with a canoe - a canoe hire centre is close by - and you can also sit beside the water with your rod, watching for a nibble in a nearby lake. Don't miss tranquil walks beside the River Trent.
Speed fans will be excited to hear that Donington Park Circuit is just a 20 minute zoom away.
