Silverhill Woodland Retreats is set in peaceful Silverhill Wood with plenty of space for families and couples to spread out. There are electric grass, hardstanding and super serviced pitches for campers and tourers, as well as log cabins for those wanting something a little extra. Ideally located in the Nottinghamshire countryside with walking and cycling trails directly off the site and a great pub at the end of the road.

About Silverhill Woodland Retreats
A rural campsite ideally located in Nottinghamshire's countryside, lovely walks, hikes and cycle routes directly from site with a range of camping, touring and glamping accommodation to choose from. There are electric grass pitches, electric hardstanding pitches and serviced hardstanding pitches. All of these take up to six people and are suitable for trailer tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes, with the grass pitches also allowing tents. The electric hook-ups are 16 amp, and the serviced pitches have the addition of fresh water taps and waste water points. There are log cabins for anyone wanting to avoid the hassle of hammering in tent pegs. each sleep up to six people in bunk style beds. There is a cosy corner sofa, TV, small electric heater and space to make yourself feel at home. Outside, you'll have your own patio furniture and decking. To the west side of the site we have a relatively new development and now have static caravans permanently sited on Woodland Heights. This has been done sympathetically, so as not to spoil the surrounding countryside. Dogs are welcome but please keep them on the lead at all times.
Silverhill Woodland Retreats is open all year round.

Lovely friendly welcome at reception on arrival. We were told our pitch number, however it was not suitable for our Lusso and car so we were given an alternative which was much better suited and fully serviced. The site itself is lovely - a mix of static caravans, seasonal pitches and touring pitches and very well maintained. The toilet/shower block was immaculately clean and lovely and warm, there was also a laundry room which we did not use. TV signal was good and the site's free WIFI was excellent. Across the road was the Teversal Trails, a great walk for us dog lovers. The views are amazing and our dog loved the lakes. Due to the rain, our pooch got very muddy. Thankfully there is also a dog wash on site, which was good. The Carnavon pub is 5 minutes walk, which is lovely and serves great food. Dogs are not allowed inside but there is a lovely beer garden and heated indoor seating area where they are. We enjoyed our stay at Silverhill and will be back.

This a lovely retreat for nature lovers as there are 11 different local walking and cycling routes nearby, all mapped out and varying in both length and difficulty. Maps can be provided and routes range from 1.5 to 30 miles, including the Teversal Trails which are just waiting to be explored.
Newstead Abbey is just a 20 minute drive away, a converted medieval abbey house set over 300 acre grounds that boasts impressive architecture and pretty water features.
