Couldn't have picked a worse weekend with the storms but still thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very clean facilities and the owners were brilliant, they couldn't help us enough! Will definitely stay again but more towards the summer this time, haha!

Great stay, friendly staff, nice toilets/showers. Site could do with improving the lighting around the site & pathways as they were quite muddy!

Fine as a stopover site, or for visiting relatives in Derby/Nottingham. Quiet. Did all we needed.

Reasonable prices for tent camping. Our pitch was level, very generous and not far from amenities. Waterpoint was not far away. There was a washup area to the front of the shower/toilet block. There are 2 toilets and 2 large showers. Outside there are additional shower shacks. We also noticed disabled facilities near the male shower/toilet block. The only reason this campsite was given 4 🌟 is because of the noise levels from planes, trains and cars. It seems like the campsite is in the flight path of EMA, so we had noise from planes. I'm sure we heard trains too. Also with the A50 being close by, we heard that. Because of this I was unable to have a restful night's sleep. We quite like the mixture of options available depending on preference. There are also bell tents and glamping pods. We haven't decided if we will be back due to the noise which is no fault of the owners. But I'm hoping some earplugs would reduce the noise.

It was a blissfully pleasant getaway from the city, with plenty of amenities nearby. It was a great experience and I would recommend it.

Great site, from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by everyone, even the neighbouring farmer was friendly and offered us plenty of fruit from their orchard. Site was clean and good facilities on offer, rare for some sites is good hot water in the pot washing area so well done for this. Did not use the showers as we were on a fully serviced pitch but the toilet facilities were spotless. Noticed many yurts and tents for clampers, these were in use while we were there and obviously popular with younger generation. Thanks to all for making our stay special. Good walks along the canal and out into the country.

Enjoyable stay, staff friendly & helpful, you need to be prepared for a good walk to the nearest pub as they are not as close by as we expected from the advertising - still good though!

First time camping in many many years, proper newbies but it was fabulous... Great site, lovely friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, clean showers and toilets and a visit from the ice cream van to boot! Even at 53 I was very excited haha - will be booking in 2022!

The site was lovely people where friendly the pub wasn’t too far to walk too, toilet block clean and plenty of space the only concern we had was that the gardener was strimming the hedge behind our campervan about 2 foot away I was really worried about flying sticks and hedge trimmings hitting the van as it seemed to fly everywhere, but apart from that enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location and nice relatively quiet site, with option of external showers and toilets. Convenient for walks/cycling in South Derbyshire, including the local canal. On this occasion the toilets weren’t adequately cleaned and soap/loo roll not topped up. On discussion though, someone sorted it. We’d still go back.

This was our 3rd visit to Hill Farm, and certainly it won't be the last. Ollie and his staff work hard to continually improve the site. The toilet and shower block facilities are kept to a very high standards of hygiene and cleanliness as is the site field too. A fantastic little hidden gem, not too far off the beaten track. 2 pubs serving great food within 20min walking distance. Looking forward to our next visit.
