Excellent campsite with all the facilities you could want and more, kept immaculately and spotlessly clean. The location is amazing in a beautiful village with two pubs and very quiet. We will return.

Amazing place, everything you need on site. Shop with very good pricing, very clean toilets and showers, games room for the kids and a laundry room. They also had a breakfast van and a pizza van at weekends, all good prices. It was lovely to see the peacocks roaming around. 2 lovely pubs within walking distance, lovely staff and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again, the kids loved it.

We took our grandson here as his first taste of camping and he loved it. It was an ideal introduction for him and he had loads of fun with all the fun day activities.

Best caravan site with everything you need. Great site, children's playground, on site shop, games room and well looked after toilets and washrooms. Very well run and know the needs of campers. We visited last year and returned again for their amazing events that they put on. All had brilliant time, even if weather was a little cold and windy! Accessible, well run campsite which is ideal for families

We took our grandchild away for a weekend break and the campsite more than lived up to what we needed. Loads of safe space to run and play, a handy shop for those forgotten essentials, animals to entertain us and clean, well stocked bathroom facilities. Would definitely stay here again

From the warm welcome to the concern that another (young) group might cause disturbance, the management of our stay was first class. The facilities were kept in top condition all day and were more than adequate for a very comfortable stay. The adults only shower block was a great idea. The location would be hard to beat and the weather was warm and sunny during our stay. An ideal location for walking Stanton Moor and enjoying the views, ancient monuments, along with the Summer birdlife. I would thoroughly recommend this campsite.

Such a lovely location and perfect for what we wanted: to walk to Robin Hood’s Stride and other great bouldering areas. Will definitely come here every time.

We have stayed here twice now. We have a Motorhome and we use the bus to visit Matlock and Bakewell . It was certainly an experience around the tiny roads. The site is excellent and the staff are very friendly but the reason we go back is the wonderful views.

This is a great site. It has character and loads of space. The site is well laid out and has lots of facilities, including an adult only shower area. The pitches are a generous size and never far from water or bins. Great views and 2 local pubs, both serving food.

I was in my small camper van. Lots of lovely facilities everything clean. Hot showers and wonderfully friendly and helpful people. Also felt safe as i am a solo woman traveller though we were a group in our individual campers on this occassion.

This was our first time ever on a campsite. We were in a campervan so didn't need to use the facilities as much as people in tents would, but the showers and toilets looked clean and were heated. We were welcomed and given all the info we needed. The site wasn't very busy, so the shop wasn't open all the time, but the people at reception were very happy to open it when needed. The site was very well looked after and we had no problems finding a pitch and setting up. There are a few peacocks roaming around and although they are quite vocal, it didn't bother us. There are lovely views and walks straight from the campsite, and although the weather was mixed, we took advantage of a few dry hours here and there to get out and about. We ate in a local pub one evening which was welcoming, with good food. Definitely recommend this campsite.

Lovely site. Stayed here with our two little dogs and found lots of walking routes. Short walk to two local pubs and shop on site, which was handy. Staff were lovely and informative on arrival. The only slight negative was that the peacocks were shouting at 4am, which disturbed our sleep. However, we have not been put off by this and will return.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Very friendly welcome and the staff were very helpful. Lots of things to do in the area, including a visit to the Drovers pub for a splendid meal. Lots of animals around the site, and very noisy Peacocks, but that's what you pay for. Plenty of hot water and lovely showers. What else could one wish for?

Before I review the campsite, it must be known that we left early as the weather was awful and there was damage to our awning, but that's no reflection on the campsite itself. The staff there were more than helpful, the facilities were clean and well maintained, village pubs were good and there is a bus route to Matlock and Bakewell if needed. The scenery was as lovely, as expected, so no gripes at all about the site. We just arrived at the wrong time. We would go again to this site.

Would certainly recommend - weather for us was not great, which in turn created a mud bath on the field. The walks were beautiful and the meal at the Druid (one of two pubs in the village) was great, with superb friendly service (dogs welcome too). Will certainly come back in the less rainy months and enjoy all the facilities a little more! Note, everything is spotless and there is nothing in the onsite shop you can't get. The team running it all are accommodating and friendly - thank you 😊

Wonderful site in the Peak District. Amazing facilities, very clean shower blocks and plenty of them to choose from. Has a sauna, sunbed, games room, washing machine and dryers. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Little shop on site, which was very reasonably priced. Excellent base for walking routes around the Peaks. We will definitely be back!! The only comment I will add is to plan your route and not follow Sygic as this sent us up a very steep hill and we did have to be recovered!

We had a wonderful stay at Barn Farm, Emma greeted us on arrival and was really friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were very clean and had great facilities. My daughter enjoyed the games room and play park along with some great walks just off the campsite. We had a great pitch with a superb view. There were 2 local pubs that served gorgeous food, just a short walk into Birchover. The peacocks and bunnies were my daughters favourite, she hasn't stopped talking about them! We will definitely be staying here again. Enjoyed it that much we stayed another night! Great value for money!

We stayed at Barn Farm in our caravan on a hardstanding pitch with full electric and water hook ups. We took our 2 grandchildren and dog with us. The site is in a lovely location with wonderful views and direct access onto Stanton Moor and easy access to Bakewell and Matlock. The caravan pitches are well maintained with plenty of space between them. The facilities are also very good with very clean showers and toilets and a shop. The sight of peacocks running around is quite something too! We will be returning and would highly recommend.
