Clear filters Beautiful, peaceful location
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Despite the narrow lanes leading through Birchover, the site and facilities were outstanding. The location of central for visiting Bakewell, Matlock, Matlock Bath and Buxton.
Quick weekend away
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jun 2024 I would highly recommend Barn Farm campsite, the location and facilities were outstanding.
Everything was very clean and the team there obviously work very hard to ensure their guests enjoy their visit.
Amazing place to stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Really friendly and knowledgable reception staff (think her name was Emma) who made us feel warm and welcome on arrival. Found the perfect pitch with Alpacas and Sheep as neighbours. Site was well kept, clean and tidy. We also appreciated the detail they had gone to with the pretty lights and extras around the site.
The kids loved the open fields, park, rabbits, black cat, woodland adventures and having the freedom to go on adventures together whilst we were happy they weren’t too far away and were safe.
There were lots students doing Duke of Edinburgh awards which did make the main toilet block busy in the morning however, all were polite and there were plenty of other facilities dotted around. They were located on the big field so were no bother at all and the kids enjoyed seeing them.
Site was in a great location with two local pubs and an easy walk to the Druid rocks. The nine ladies is apparently close too however, we enjoyed the site that much we decided to play cricket on the field and plan to return to do that walk with friends over the summer.
Great campsite with excellent facilities
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jun 2024 Very clean, excellent facilities - bins emptied daily, good quality toilet paper replenished regularly, shop on site.
Kids and Duke of Edinburgh students kept away from adult area.
Food trucks in height of summer only. Approx 2 hour walk to Matlock, drove to Bakewell but only 15 mins away by car.
Beautiful surroundings
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jun 2024 Stayed in a large group with kids from very young to teenager. Excellent choice for families as lots to see and do in the outdoors. Farm animals and a playground, games room something for everyone. Also grandparents were able to stay in beautiful barn which was very luxurious.

Excellent site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 We stayed midweek, during term time and it was very quiet - can imagine it's very popular with families. The site is beautifully maintained, with excellent facilities and lovely views. Obviously a lot of thought and effort gone into it.

Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) Jun 2024 We booked this campsite for a 2 night stay with our U7 football team, the site is perfect, with excellent facilities and plenty of space. Would highly recommend for families and groups.

Brilliant stay
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) Jun 2024 Brilliant stay. I'd wanted to have a location where we could do country walks without using a vehicle. As it turned out, Stanton Moor is right on their doorstep.
Well worth a visit, very good facilities. Would recommend this campsite to anyone.

Camping made easy
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2024 First time camping in 15 years, first time camping as a family of five. This campsite made it easy for us to enjoy our weekend!
Pot-washing, toilets and showers all to a high standard of cleanliness. The staff were approachable and friendly whenever we asked a question about the local area, and the site had the shortest walk onto Stanton Peak.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and whilst we don't have lots of other experiences to compare it to, we would recommend to others!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2024 Beautiful park, great location and everything you need. Facilities are very clean and plenty of loos and showers so you don't have to queue. Just one very annoying complaint......peacocks!!!!! So very noisy when people are trying to sleep.

It had rained heavily and the owner contacted us the day before asking if we wanted to rebook or cancel which was kind of him.
We pressed on and had a great time.
Good 3-mile walk for the kids nearby, good food at the pubs too.
Noisy peacocks so maybe bring some earplugs!
Fantastic, clean site
Large Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2024 Great experience from booking to leaving. The site was v wet so we had to park on the concrete at the bottom of the field, but the farm worker offered to put our kit in the farm buggy and take it to our pitch.
The facilities were spotless, my children enjoyed playing on the play area (we were in the family field) and we had a fantastic 4 day stay. There are peacocks on site, which my children loved, however they do make some early morning calls! But we will return!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 Stayed here at end of three busy weeks touring around. Lovely surroundings. Met up with family. Chilled. Family had car so took us into Bakewell. Great place for walkers. We walked to nine ladies stones.

Great, family friendly campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Field 1) May 2024 Lovely place to stay. Staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Views were amazing. Lots of facilities. Some of the fields are on a slant so you need to consider this when pitching, but it is easy to work around and there are flatter areas.
Beautiful peacocks who love a morning stroll.

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2024 This is the fourth time I've stayed at Barn Farm. Brilliant, clean facilities. Powerful showers, soft toilet paper. Great space for kids in the arcade. Fantastic food vans. Cute little bar.
When it rained, they took the entertainment inside. Two nights of fab bands.
Security make the kids feel really safe and means that everyone gets an undisturbed nights sleep.
