Started camping again after many years of not doing so, so decided to visit what was our first campsite again and we will always love Barn Farm. It holds many great memories with friends and family that have passed. It was nice to see the same staff after all the years and the peacocks and alpacas! The kids enjoyed running free in the park and the facilities are brilliant and clean and the staff so helpful and friendly. This site is a must for all campers! We stayed over a bank holiday and they had entertainment on for the kids like bouncy castles, and a band on at night for all and it was brilliant. Can't wait to visit in 2022!

Lovely campsite with good facilities. Showers warm, camper van coffee, good fields, local village has two pubs……I recommend booking. Nearby is Stanton Moor, nine ladies stone circle, Robin hoods Stride and a short drive to Arbor Low.

We stayed with 2 children and a dog. There was plenty of space around the tents. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Lovely site with lots of places to walk.

We decided to come back to Barn Farm to try out our new tent as we had been here before. Booking is easy online and very clear on what to do and costs. You can park next to your tent making unloading and loading easy. The facilities are numerous and clean. The site has a games room, laundrette and a small shop on site. The reception is open most days with an out of hours helpline. We are a family of five with young children and enjoyed our stay. Locally there is a pub that serves good food and is within walking distance. We will be back in the spring!

We met for a mini family holiday, first one since Christmas 2019 due to you-know-what. Two families were in tents and one in the barn accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised with the site, facilities and location. The weather wasn't the best but that didn't spoil our weekend. Would definitely go back to Barn Farm again.

Myself and my partner stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Clean facilities, on-site shop. We stayed mid-week and it was very quite. Our final night was a Friday and was busy, but everything still as clean. Good central location to everywhere we wanted to visit. Would recommend and would deffo stay again.

As someone that has spent a lot of time camping at Barn Farm I can tell you it is the best in Matlock. Clean toilets, regularly cleaned out showers and a small shop on site that has all the essentials is just scratching the surface, and the staff are awesome too. Those that like to explore are well catered for on Stanton Moor but will you find the 'other' stone circle? There's also two local pubs and another in the next village so if you get the chance nip` in and try a pint...or two ;)

Lovely campsite the only problem was we was on a hill, would have been better if it was all flat ground

We have stayed here a few times over the years and we have always enjoyed ourselves regardless of the weather. This time was no different. Our girls love the playground, the games and the animals (including the peacocks). It’s a convenient location to lots of places, the facilities are clean and it just has a nice feel to the place. Definitely recommend for families with young children.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities throughout. Great location. Great simple outdoor play activities for children. A good indoor games room, although a few of the games needed fixing. Overall it was excellent and I would highly recommend the place.
