Appledore Park is a peaceful park surrounded by beautiful Devon farmland. There is abundance of wildlife and birds all around and the pitches are arranged in glades so groups can be together or when quieter you could have a whole glade to yourselves. There are both hardstanding and grass pitches and you will never be too far from a water point. With Dartmoor and two coastlines in reach, what more could you need?
Appledore Park has won awards at the Devon Tourism Awards for two years in a row and is a favourite with many customers. Your setting is just two miles from Okehampton, and three miles from the A30 which will take you to Cornwall. Pitches are large and well laid out so that you won't be overlooked. They all include a water supply to the pitch bollard and plenty of space for your awning and car. For glampers, a bell tent adds the perfect touch of country chic. Sleeping four, the bell tent is fully furnished and pitched by the lake with a host of retro details such as a picnic basket and fairy lights, plus comfy seating outside where you can take in the view. To keep you cosy, a fan heater can be rented for a small extra charge.
Touring and camping is available year round, while bell tent glamping is from the May bank holiday until the end of September.

The site is only 3 miles from the A30 so within one hour you can reach the north or south coast. If the beach is not your thing, there is walking or cycling on Dartmoor.
For the more adventurous why not make an appointment with the many activity providers in the area to try kayaking, gorge scrambling, letter-boxing and even Clydesdale horse riding.
If you like the more urban, the cathedral city of Exeter is only 30 minutes away, with its cafe, city walls and underground caves.
There are plenty of things to see and do no matter what your interest or weather.
