Boyd Valley Lake is a quiet, family-run site located halfway between Bristol and Bath. With a large onsite fishing lake, it's the ideal spot for families, anglers and those wildlife enthusiasts. The site offers non-electric camping and touring pitches on several camping fields, or you can camp in style with two bell tents. Sleep up to four each, these are great for a family gathering. Can be furnished at an additional cost.

A random campsite, not yet cared for! Strange set up. No working sinks, sign says "under construction". No problem fill your washing up bowl from the showers. The showers/toilets were not to the highest standard and smelt strongly. No ticket system, meant daily checks from the warden! Poor.

Very basic campsite. Was quiet and had a lake. Good recycling of waste. Had clean drinking water. Chemical waste disposal was a normal toilet so lots of splashing! Showers were cold and needed another clean. Didn't see any places for fires. Arrived late so had to park in gravel car park. Didn't have time but would like to have walked around the site and lake.

Excellent facilities provided here with clean showers and bathroom. Drinking running water, bins for rubbish and well kept grass ideal for pitching up tent. Only downside was that the water for the shower was cold and the location had some very tiny roads leading up to it. Other than that I had a great time, I enjoyed setting up my fire.

A lovely little site with minimum facilities, but a very diligent owner who was about to sort out issues. A mop in the shower would allow people to clear up after themselves when they have walked grass in. Plenty of space on our visit.

Excellent place to camp. Nice walks close to Bath and Bristol and other attractions. Peter was very helpful, was there if we needed anything. We will definitely be visiting in the near future.

First time here, so quiet, loved to hear the birds sing in the mornings. Peter, the owner, is excellent, popping round for a welcoming chat and just can't do enough to make you feel welcomed. Definitely coming back 👏👏👌👌👌

Great value for money. Definitely a pit-stop type campsite rather than a family destination, but great if you're just after a base. Will absolutely visit again!

Beautiful area, and a stunning fishing lake offering a pleasant walk with my dog. This is a small campsite which I'm told can be problematic for campervans in the wet. I camped on the hardstanding car parking area next to the lake, as I was only there for the night. The owner came out to greet me and was very accommodating, cheerful and made me feel very welcome. I'm not a fisherman, but if I was into fishing, you would be hard placed to find a more attractive/convenient/peaceful place to fish and camp.

Peter, the owner of the site, couldn't be more helpful. It's a lovely spot in the middle of the countryside with both the centre of Bristol and Bath less than a 20 minute drive. There are the best walks in the area on the doorstep with amazing views and a couple of pubs to stop off in.
