Small Trees Campsite is a pop up summer site in the Hampshire countryside, five minutes from Romsey and ten minutes from the New Forest National Park. There are non electric grass tent and touring pitches with no artificial lighting, making it great for stargazing. Enjoy complimentary morning tea and coffee, with regular wood-fired pizza nights and fire pits for hire. Paultons Park, Home of Peppa Pig World, is also within a ten minute drive!

About the site


Just five minutes from Romsey and ten minutes from the New Forest National Park, it's a great base for exploring Hampshire. Mornings here start right with free tea and coffee for all guests. Whether you're heading out for a woodland walk or a fun day at Paultons Park (10 minutes), there's plenty to enjoy nearby. The site welcomes tents, roof tents and campervans with unmarked, non electric grass pitches. The camping field is dotted with trees, offering natural shade and a bit of shelter, ideal for warm summer days. There's no artificial lighting, making it brilliant for stargazing once the sun goes down. Your four-legged friends are welcome, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch. The surrounding area is packed with dog-friendly walks. Canada Common is just ten minutes away and a favourite local spot, and of course, the nearby New Forest has endless trails to discover. Nothing beats sitting around a campfire in the evening. Fire pits are available to hire, and you can pick up firewood onsite too. Raised BBQs are also allowed, so you can cook up a tasty meal.

There are male and female toilets, along with hot showers, a washing up sink and a small kids' play area. Please note, there is no lighting, so guests will need to bring a torch. Fire pits are available for hire, with firewood for sale. There is complimentary tea and coffee available in the morning, with wood-fired pizzas available some evenings.

Romsey is within a five minute drive where you will also find an Aldi and multiple pubs/restaurants, including Three Tuns, La Parisienne and Prezzo.

FAQ

Check-in is available from 12pm-10pm. Please alert the site if you are delayed. Check out is by 11am on the day of your departure.

The site is dog friendly, however, ensure dogs are kept on their leads at all times. Dogs listed on the Dangerous Dogs Act are prohibited.

Open fires are prohibited. The site does allow BBQs provided they are raised off the ground. Fuel, logs, and coal must be purhased onsite.

Sorry, the site only caters to families and couples. Group bookings are not accepted here.

This site only offers non electric pitches and therefore isnt any electric amp hook ups

Sorry, the site does not provide WiFi. The Cromwell Arms pub, five minutes away, has free WiFi access.

There isn't a shop onsite, but head five minutes into Romsey and you will find an Aldi

Sorry, the campsite does not have either. If you fancy a bite to eat, the Three Tuns and The Cromwell Arms are a five minutes drive and serve a range of meals.

If you want to use a bus, head a ten minutes drive to All Saint's Church bus stop. Your nearest train stations are Romsey and Mottisfont and Dunbridge, ten minutes away.

Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am. Please respect this.

Yes, but visitors must leave the premises by 10pm. Please advise the site manager in advance if you intend to have visitors.


Things to do on site and in the Southampton area

Just ten minutes away is Paultons Park, Home of Peppa Pig World, which is perfect for a fun family day out. It has rides, a splash park, and Peppa-themed play areas where visitors can meet Peppa, George, and friends. There are also animals and bigger rides for older children and adults, so everyone gets to join in!

Also ten minutes away, you'll find Mottisfont, a beautiful old house run by the National Trust. You can stroll through rose gardens, walk along the River Test, and explore the art inside the house.

If you love animals, the New Forest Wildlife Park is just 15 minutes away. You can see otters, wolves, deer, and owls up close, with lots of woodland paths to explore.

The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu (30 minutes) is full of classic cars and motorbikes. There are fun exhibitions about racing, Top Gear, and more, great for motorheads.
