About Glassenbury Camping

If you're looking for a peaceful, off-grid getaway with plenty of walking routes nearby, this is just the ticket. Set within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the site enjoys glorious views across the surrounding countryside, great for watching the sunset. With over 12 acres of grassy meadow to choose from, you're free to pitch your tent wherever you please. Grass pitches are non electric and can accommodate a maximum of three tents with 12 guests. If glamping is more your style, book one of the three luxury bell tents, furnished with a cosy double bed, chairs, rugs, hanging rail, mirror and bohemian touches. Bed linen, crockery, cutlery and a firepit/BBQ are all included in the price. Please note that the bell tents sleep a maximum of two, so families or groups are advised to book multiple tents in advance if necessary. Sustainability is a huge focus for this site so expect eco-friendly facilities, off-grid camping (no WiFi or electricity) and an abundance of nature on your doorstep. Fire pits are provided to all guests free of charge and logs can be purchased onsite, so be sure to bring along the marshmallows. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.

A note from the site themselves...

At our campsite, we're all about keeping things green and friendly to our planet. Sustainability is a big deal for us.

We're all about recycling here. You'll find us sorting through waste to make sure we're doing our bit for the environment. But it's not just about waste. We're always working on making the site better for wildlife. Think owl and bat boxes and magical woodland boundaries.

We are also always happy to hear new suggestions on how we can be even better for the planet. We hope to welcome you soon, Maria and Raf

Outdoor cooking and campfires

We welcome campfires as long as they are in suitable off-the-ground fire pits

Fire pits are available on site free of charge.

Sustainable local wood is available to purchase onsite. Please do not gather firewood from around the site. Fallen wood provides a natural habitat for wildlife, and damp or rotting wood does not burn well and causes lots of smoke which is not enjoyable for other guests.

BBQ's are permitted

There is a communal campfire which can be shared by all

Onsite hygiene

Our team will be doing everything we can to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene around the site, but ultimately guests are responsible for their own hygiene and that of their family and friends.

The considerate actions of guests will also impact on the safety of our team and our other guests.

Wash or sanitise hands when you arrive and leave the campsite

Wash or sanitise hands after using communal facilities

Please be extra aware of your children's behaviour

Ensure children are supervised when using communal facilities

Ensure your children do not play in or around the toilet and shower facilities. Games of 'hide & seek' in the toilet and shower cubicles would make it impossible for us to maintain necessary hygiene standards!

Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times in the cabins, on site and during activities. Please ensure that your children are supervised at all times.

Smoking & Vaping

Is not allowed in any of our glamping accommodation or in the communal fire pit area.

Please put all cigarette butts in the bins provided. Cigarette butts take up to 10 years to decompose and are very harmful to the land!
