About the site
This peaceful, adult only lakeside site offers a choice of spacious pitches along with an onsite Bar and Bistro. Located just a 30 minute drive from Leicester, it's an ideal base for exploring the Midlands countryside while still being within easy reach of the city. Guests can choose from a variety of electric pitches. There are ten electric grass pitches set across the main camping field, all with 16 amp hook ups and suitable for tents, roof and trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. For those seeking the best views in the house, there are seven electric grass lakeside pitches that line the front of the site, offering uninterrupted views across the water. These are also equipped with 16 amp electric, though caravans booking these pitches will require motor movers due to the position and layout. In wetter months or during winter, when grass pitches are closed, the site offers four hardstanding electric lakeside pitches, also with 16 amp hook ups and suitable for motorhomes, campervans, caravans and roof tents. The lake itself offers seasonal opportunities for paddleboarding (guests may launch their own equipment during set times), and keen swimmers can book open water swimming sessions from May to September. Stanton Lakes Bistro Restaurant and Bar serves coffees, drinks, lunches and dinners, with a menu featuring popular options like tapas, Sunday roasts and afternoon teas. Food is served Wednesday to Saturday from 12 noon until 8pm, and on Sundays from 12 noon until 4pm. Restaurant bookings are recommended, particularly at busier times. Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on your stay. Please note that the water is not fenced off, so dogs should stay on leads at all times. Open fires, fire pits and wood burners are not permitted onsite. You can use a BBQ, but it must be raised off the ground.
Hardstanding pitches are open from October to March and grass pitches are open from April to September.
