Situated just 300 yards from the coast, Castle Point Caravan Site provides guests with a base right by the beach! Take in the incredible views over the sea from a range of grass pitches catering to tents, caravans and motorhomes. Dogs are welcome and can also benefit from the easy walks to nearby Castle Point, Rockcliffe and Glenstocken Cove. Cyclists can enjoy the graded seven Stanes cycle trails.

About Castle Point Caravan Site
The site dates back to an ancient Roman era fort originally situated at the head of the river Urr. The location boasts stunning views over to the Isle of Man, Lake District and inland over the estuary. You can enjoy the views wherever you pitch here. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome on a range of grass and hardstanding pitches, with very easy access to the beaches. Electric hook ups are available and you'll also have plenty of space if you're bringing an awning too. WiFi included in the price. Static caravans are also available to hire and all have balconies and French doors to enjoy the sea views. There are great walks over the cliffs as far as Sandy Hills, over the coastal paths to Rockcliffe and Kippford. Kippford has two pubs and is a local boating centre. There is a play area with swings, an agility square, football pitch and indoor table tennis table. Laundry room, drying room, bike shed, and electric chargers for cars. Four-legged friends welcome.

Site facilities include two toilet blocks as well as disabled toilet and showers. You'll also have use of laundry, drier and washing up areas as well as drying cabinet for clothes etc. Bike storage available in bike shed onsite. WiFi access available in the hotspot area here.
It's just 300 yards to the sea from the site and a short walk to the beaches at Rockcliffe and Glenstocken Cove.

Site rules and policies
Most dogs are welcome but unfortunately we cannot accommodate the following varieties and their hybrids: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Bully XL and Stafford Terrier.
Things to do on site and in the Dalbeattie area
Walking and cycling is practically encouraged here, with the 7stanes cycling trail situated within a mile by road from the site. A cycle shed onsite is also available to store your bike when not in use and a drying room should you get wet.
There are also a number of walks from the site, taking you over the cliffs onto Glenstocken Cove and beyond to Sandyhills. Stroll along the Jubilee Path enroute to Kippford village and relax with a refreshing glass by the harbour.
The choices are endless for beach trips too, with the nearest beaches short walks from the site. The beach at Rockcliffe is ideal for young children whilst the beach at Glenstocken Cove is a secluded beautiful classic clove, and the beach at Castle Point is great for crabbing when the tide is low.
