A note from the site themselves...

We are a local family opening our business venture on our family farm that's been with us since the 1920s. The old decommission farm makes for the perfect place where we aim to promote slow tourism, encouraging our guests to give time to a place and stay longer and in comfort.

We seek to divert people for a few days to explore the many wonderful places in our area that would not be obvious to those sticking strictly to the North Coast 500 route. Slow adventure seeks to take people off the well-travelled tourist trail into the quieter, wilder and less developed areas of the Highlands, encouraging not only adventure but also relaxation

We want visitors and tourists to enjoy the benefits of camping and staying in Ardgay and the beautiful Kyle of Sutherland area with the additional luxuries of Pods.

Pod - Glamping PodsJun 2023

I loved everything about our stay at Ardgay Glamping Pods. We took all our groceries and found everything we needed within the pod. It was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. I travelled from Glasgow so it was a long way, but very well worth it.

Site's response

Thank you for the glowing review and we are really pleased that you felt the long journey up north was worth it. I am glad that you found everything that you required to cater for your needs. The gas BBQ proves popular in the summer months and the 2 ring induction hob and microwave make the pods a popular choice all year round. We are very fortunate to have housekeepers who pride themselves with a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. Jan & Paul

Beautiful stay!

Pod - Glamping PodsMay 2023

The two pods are on the homeowner's gravelled driveway, but to the honest, you don't even feel like it! The pod itself is spacious and has everything you could possibly need! The shower was powerful and hot, the cooking hob was very useful and the use of BBQ along with provide firelighters/wood/paper was a perfect touch, especially for the fire pit! Everything was VERY clean, spotless almost and even though reviews date back a few years, it appears brand new! There is even a shed with a provided code which allows you to take bikes for bicycle rides ect! If I wasn't travelling around to different locations on the NC500, then I would have stayed a few more nights as it was just perfect! Thank you for making the trip so special! All I can say is what an amazing stopover!

Site's response

Pod - Glamping PodsApr 2023

The whole stay was amazing and facilities were superb, the bonus was Netflix in TV as well! It was an unmanned pod, meaning you do not meet the owner in person rather you get instructions in email to enter the pod and exit accordingly. I was highly impressed by use of intelligence, technology and aesthetics of pod. The pod is large enough for three people to stay with free parking and BBQ.

Site's response

Thank you for the lovely review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure hosting you, hopefully you will make a return visit to further explore the area.
