Glenmore Campsite nestles within the Cairngorms National Park, 15 minutes from Aviemore. The site has direct access to the beaches on the shores of Loch Morlich and mountain views from your pitches. Park or pitch up on electric or non electric grass pitches, or one of the optional electric hardstanding pitches, secluded by pine trees. About the site


Set within the Cairngorms National Park, this hidden gem offers a peaceful escape in the Scottish Highlands, with breathtaking views right from your pitch. Explore the nearby walking and cycling trails, including the Old Logging Way and An Lochan Uaine, both five minutes from the site. Beach lovers can relax on the sandy shores of Loch Morlich or enjoy paddleboarding and kayaking, just a short five minute walk away. There are 206 pitches, including non electric and electric grass pitches, as well as optional electric hardstanding suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. The electric hook ups are 16 amp. Seasonal pitches are also available. Please note that the electric grass pitches for tents are set on sand. At 300 metres above sea level, this spot is a great destination for skiers. Ski schools and Cairngorm Mountain can be reached within a ten minute drive, offering easy access to some of the top ski runs. Do note that part of the campsite closes during winter, so availability may be limited. This is a haven for outdoor and nature lovers. Look out for deer, otters, and even golden eagles! The nearby Rothiemurchus Estate is just a ten minute drive away, home to a historic 13th-century island castle and scenic walks. Dogs are welcome to join your Highland adventure. Campfires are strictly prohibited due to the surrounding woodland. A gas BBQ is allowed, just make sure it's raised off the ground.

Guests have access to male and female toilets and showers, accessible bathrooms, and baby changing facilities. There is a washing up and laundry area available. There is also a dog wash with a hot tap, where you can also wash bikes or wetsuits.

The Highland Slice food truck visits the site on some days, serving pizzas from 5pm.

Aviemore is a 15 minute drive away with shops, including Aldi, for picking up essentials. The Pine Marten Bar is a five minute walk away, serving food and drinks with regular live music.

Things to do on site and in the Aviemore area

Loch Morlich is a five minute walk, a perfect spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, and more! Glenmore Forest Park is opposite the site, offering scenic hiking routes.

Wildlife lovers stand a good chance of catching a glimpse of the elusive pine marten and the crested tit. The popular Cairngorm Reindeer Centre is a five minute walk away, home to the UK's only herd of free-roaming deer.

Ideal for families, Highland Wildlife Park is a 20 minute drive away, or visit Landmark Forest Adventure Park (25 minutes) for rides and outdoor activities.

History enthusiasts can explore Aviemore Ring Cairn and Stone Circle (15 minutes) or take a road trip to Ballindalloch Castle and Gardens, an hour's drive away.
