About the site

This rural park off the A49 and in the heart of the Shropshire Hills combines the convenience of nearby amenities with countryside charm. With the Victorian market town of Church Stretton just a ten minute walk away, you can enjoy a friendly atmosphere, easy access to country pubs, shops, transport links, and scenic surroundings. Tourers can park on one of the 11 grass pitches or seven hardstanding pitches, all level and equipped with electric hook ups and water. Pitches are suitable for RVs, roof tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans. Please note that the hardstandings comprise four stone pitches and three grass hardstanding pitches, reinforced with a durable plastic modular grid system for stability and year round usability. The site sits adjacent to the Church Stretton Leisure Centre, where visitors can enjoy swimming, tennis, badminton and a range of other activities. For walking enthusiasts, Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd are just five minutes away, offering endless miles of footpaths, incredible views and multiple walking and cycling routes. Additionally, Shrewsbury is 25 minutes away for a historic day out, with the England/Wales border within easy reach. Whilst every effort is made to maintain a peaceful environment, guests should be aware that occasional traffic noise from the A49 and passing trains may be heard. Four-legged friends are more than welcome onsite, with several local walking routes close by for them to explore. Please ensure they are kept on their leads at all times. The site permits raised BBQs, but campfires, candles, bonfires and fireworks are not allowed at all.

Site rules and policies

*Check-in is available from 1pm. Guests arriving after 6pm should contact the park in advance to make appropriate arrangements. Please check out by 11am on your last day.

*Dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead.

*Fire, candles, bonfires, or fireworks are not permitted onsite at all.

*Raised BBQs are welcome, but they must be placed on a fireproof base that protects the grass and surrounding areas.

*As the site is located next to a school, please ensure you drive with caution and check that the roads are clear before entering certain sections.

*A maximum speed limit of 5mph applies throughout the park.

*Visitors are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party, including children, visitors and pets.

*Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am.

*Please ensure you leave the service building and communal facilities clean and tidy after each use.

*Guests must ensure waste is disposed of only in designated areas.

*Visitors are permitted only with prior approval. The site reserves the right to refuse entry to visitors at any time.

*EV charging is not permitted onsite.

Springbank Leisure is more than a campsite to us. It's a little piece of countryside our family has poured years of care into!

We love watching families, walkers and riders enjoy the peace, wildlife and views that first made us fall in love with the site ourselves. As the second generation to run Springbank, we're proud to continue that sense of stewardship, creating a place where people can slow down, breathe, and feel at home in nature.

Being in the heart of the Shropshire Hills AONB, it makes a great base for outdoor adventurers, with plenty of hiking, cycling and mountain bike routes.

Discover the popular National Trust - Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd, just a five minute drive away. Wander through heathlands home to wild ponies and sheep, while enjoying scenic views towards Shropshire and the Black Mountains.

Tackle trails like the Lightspout Waterfall Walk or the more challenging Burway Loop, before cooling off with a spot of wild swimming or paddling.

When it's time to refuel, the Victorian market town of Church Stretton, often referred to as "Little Switzerland", is just a ten minute walk along Shrewsbury Road.
