Lowtrow Cross Caravan Site is perfect for couples looking for a quiet, friendly site on the edge of Exmoor where you can enjoy the surrounding countryside and all it has to offer, whether you want to relax on site, take advantage of miles of uncrowded walking or use the park as a base to explore the area. There is something for everyone. The site is adult only, with well behaved dogs most welcome!
About Lowtrow Cross Caravan Site
If you are looking for a site with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, plus the facilities that you would expect from a four star site, then Lowtrow Cross is the place for you. It's small in size, but big on peace and quiet! There are spacious pitches with lovely views of the surrounding countryside on a clean and well maintained site. Tourers can relax on hardstanding pitches with electric and TV hook-ups, while tent campers enjoy grass pitches with and without electric. For those looking for something more permanent, seasonal pitches are also available by request.
Open from 1 March to 31 October
Site facilities include hot showers and free use of a freezer and microwave. The shower block is heated in cool weather and has wet room style showers with stools. There are also dishwashing and laundry facilities.
There is a small shop with a library/book exchange and tourist information. It sells fresh milk, and produce from local suppliers including local free range eggs, bread and cakes, butcher's meats, and more. Calor gas and Aqua Kem can also be purchased on site. A small dog walk is available and guests have free use of Wi-Fi.

Things to do on site and in the Taunton area
Walking is the most popular activity in the area and there are lots of maps and guides you can borrow from reception with all levels of walks. You'll also find OS maps for sale. The area is fantastic for birdwatching and stargazing and there are so many varied places of interest to visit.
Wimbleball Lake has walking and cycling tracks, fly fishing, sailing, canoeing and windsurfing for those with a hankering for adrenaline.
