Horsham campsites

Parkland meets a thriving market town in Horsham, where you can browse through bustling shops, zigzag through teeny alleyways and come out in open squares. 

Pop by lovely Horsham Museum and Gallery where you can discover over 26 galleries as well as admiring the building itself - a medieval merchant's house with two pretty walled gardens. 

Make a night of it at the Capitol Theatre which puts on a programme of exhibits and entertainment throughout the year, perhaps after an afternoon browsing the bargains on Swan Walk - shopping central for Horsham's locals. Every year, French and Italian markets bring tasty Mediterranean flavours to town, too and September is the time to throw out the diet with Sussex's month long Big Nibble fest.

There are many historic houses in the area such as Parham House and Gardens, a stunning Elizabethan manor house with gardens where you can spot wild deer. Make time for the top views at Normandy Bramber Castle and the nearby Amberley Castle and Kings Mill are also worth visiting.

Bringing a few little monkeys with you? Fend off boredom for them with a trip to Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre and Gardens. They're sure to rub feathers with falcons, hawks, owls, buzzards and much more.

Have a ramble with the family at Warnham local Nature Reserve and then you'll find the perfect picnic spot at Summers Ponds to simply relax in, camp or fish.

If the adults fancy a tipple, Darkstar Brewery offers tasting tours of local ales, or you can have a fun day out at the local Segway centre.

The rolling downs and the High Weald Landscape Trail are perfect for getting a great walk in and nearby you can visit the Virtual Flight Centre in Coolham or go paint balling with a bunch of mates in Holmbush. The vibrant seaside city of Brighton with its pier, vintage shops in the Lanes and the romantic Brighton Pavilion is a short drive away.
