About Dolwen Riverside Camping
This family-run campsite offers riverside meadow pitches in North Wales, just 10 minutes from the market town of Denbigh. The campsite is proud to have an eco-friendly approach, with all its facilities built using local and recycled resources. There are only eight pitches on offer (three small and five larger). The small pitches are suitable for tents only (measuring 10m x 10m), while the larger pitches are suitable for both tents and small campervans (measuring 15m x 15m). All come equipped with a picnic table and fire pit, allowing guests to fully enjoy the great outdoors. During the summer months, guests can enjoy the beautiful wildflowers too. Campers will be right next to the river feeding into the Afon Ystrad, providing a tranquil soundtrack to guests' stay. Visitors can take a dip or quietly watch the local wild bird residents, including kingfishers and kites. Plus, this rural location boasts minimal light pollution, which makes for breathtaking stargazing opportunities. The site is certified with the Greener Camping Club, so at least one guest per pitch must be a member, though this can be purchased when you book.
Dolwen Riverside Camping is open from 27/04 to 29/09.
Onsite facilities include compost toilets, hot showers and a pot washing station. There is also a small shop onsite selling essentials.
In Denbigh, just 10 minutes from the site, there is also a Morrisons and plenty of pubs.

Absolutely superb campsite with well placed, separated pitches, right next to a lovely stream with stunning views of surrounding hills. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and on hand if you need them. Facilities are great. We didn't expect to have hot showers, a fridge/freezer you can access and a separate toilet. Everything's cleaned daily, and is spotless! Further, you get a picnic table and firepit included with your pitch, with wood available to buy. It's only a short drive into Denbigh with a supermarket, pubs and a range of other local shops. To summarise, we highly recommend a stay here and will most certainly be going back.

Beautiful site, the most peaceful I have stayed in. The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Loved how each pitch has its own bench and fire pit and how they have kept the grass long between pitches. Great shower and toilets. Perfect place! Thanks so much.

Stayed just the one night as had the little one with me who is only 3. Great little campsite with clean showers and toilets. Even a communal fridge. Well kept place and nice and quiet with a little stream running behind us. Fire pit and picnic table for all pitches.
