There is plenty of space for Duke of Edinburgh groups to come and explore this lovely part of the country, too. For camping and touring there are two flat fields and two large lawned areas where you can pitch, with a number of electric hook-ups.

The landscape around Llyn Rhys includes excellent mountain biking routes around Coed Llandegla Forest, with options to suit many different abilities.
Or, if you'd rather take to the road with your bike, The Shelf, Nant y Garth Pass and Worlds End all offer incredible sights around this base.
Birdwatchers will be fascinated by the black grouse in beautiful Llandegla Forest and if you love a walking holiday, you'll be excited to step out along Offa's Dyke Path and the Clwydian Range.
There are three excellent fisheries in Llandegla and you can also fish in a number of lovely local rivers.
