Great location and a really clean and tidy site!

Camping pitch was ideal and on level ground. Toilets and showers were modern and always very clean. Location was perfect if you have a car to travel to different places.

Super clean and spacious

We have had a wonderful stay here this week. Such a beautiful site with the cleanest facilities. Booking was easy, check-in was easy and the site was secure. The 'games room' was disappointing (a barn room with a few free standing games tables), but that wasn't an issue. Some benches in the main shower block would have been ideal (to make changing and showering easier), but the shower facility in the small block was fab. We used the smaller bathroom block as it was closest. It was wonderful: spacious, hot water all the time and super clean. Plenty of space between pitches. Highly recommended. We would certainly return.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful campsite!

This was the 4th and last campsite that we stayed at over our 10 day holiday. Both my partner and I both agreed that it was the best! The previous sites we had stayed on were also lovely, but this 1 just seemed to have the edge. As I have mobility issues, the disabled facilities were a life saver! I have a slight OCD problem when it comes to the cleanliness of toilets and showers, so I was delighted to find that both the disabled toilet and walk in shower were spotless. So, if you are thinking of booking this site, don't hesitate! We would return in a heart beat.

Pleasant

Was okay for an overnight stay, but not a lot around. £51 was a bit more than I wanted to pay. However, the pitches were great and facilities were modern with clean hot showers.

We feel the area does have a lot to offer from walking, cycling, water sports, castles, museums, trains, aquariums to mention a few to pubs and restaurants in Caernarfon (2 miles away).

Very fun stay!

I would 100% recommend this park! The park is dog friendly with loads of space and very clean toilets and showers. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The only minus was that our pitch was located next to the road which is very busy during the day. You can also hear cars at night.

Amazing Place!

The Couple that look after the site are very friendly and helpful. They really look after the place and keep it spotless. Lovely powerful hot showers and good toilets. Nice washing up area, including washing machine and dryer. Beautiful views from the campsite! Loads of lovely places to visit all a short driving distance from the campsite. Surrounding area with beautiful walks. would recommend Snowdonia and Conwy. Beddgelert, Betws-y-coed, Swallow falls and the Ugly house a must. All in all North wales is a breath taking and beautiful and camping friendly place to visit! We will be back :)

Great site

Great, clean site with good hardstanding pitches. The couple who run the site day to day are excellent and very informative. They keep the site immaculate.

Great site

Site easy to find, well laid out, quiet, tidy, clean, very helpful owners. The toilet and shower block was well laid out and kept very clean which was much appreciated.

Excellent find

We had a lovely few days at this campsite, the wardens were so helpful & friendly. The toilet and shower block were very clean & modern. The extra touch of plants and ceiling heater in the toilets was a real welcome. Only being a 8 minute drive from Caernarfon was really convenient too. I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Super clean facilities

Beautiful campsite with immaculate toilets and shower block. Having bikes meant the location was great for joining the route 8 cycle ride. The dog walking area could be improved. No gate and overgrown grass in the centre. Fantastic games room.

Lovely campsite

Lovely campsite. Very clean. Shower block cleaned regularly and up to date. Hot water which was a great bonus! Only criticism would be that the toilets/shower block were not nearby to our pitch. The toilets and shower block were next to the caravans and most of them had electric hook ups, plus their own amenities. It would be have made more sense for the toilet/showers to be near the tent pitches. I would definitely recommend this site though. It was good and the owners/warden helpful and friendly.

Fab site, loved the wildflower meadow where we camped. Super clean wash/toilet facilities. Well maintained, good clear directions on how to get there. I thought Rhyd y Galen Caravan and Camping Park is a good base for setting off to see the beautiful sites...😀

Beautiful site

Beautiful site, well maintained in a beautiful setting. Shower block and toilets spotless. Elsan point very clean. They have 2 big shower rooms for disabled, also a laundry room which takes £1 coins.

Great Stay in North Wales

Everything was great, staff very helpful and the site was immaculate. Highly recommend and close to Zip World where we all enjoyed the Velocity 2 zip wire!!

Clean & organised

The campsite was very organised. On arrival, we received a map of the campsite, which was very useful when looking for the facilities. The campsite was well lit, with small lights along the footpaths and around the tent pitches. Bathrooms/toilets were very clean. There were multiple water taps dotted around the tent pitches, fire pits on site to rent, recycling area and plenty of berries around to pick. In general, a lovely and tidy campsite perfect for couples, families and friends. The only downside for us was that the non-electric tent pitches are right beside a quite busy road, which meant we were kept awake till late and then woken up very early in the morning.

Great location and friendly campsite

We had a lovely time staying at Rhyd y Galen. We had a secluded pitch with our own power and water supply. Neighbours were lovely and no loud parties. There was loads of space for our young kids to run around and meet other campers, as well as a lovely barn area with table football, pool and table tennis, which our kids loved. Toilets/showers were in very good condition and regularly cleaned. The laundry facilities were disappointing, with just one old washing machine and one drier for the entire site and given the wet weather, this was in much demand. The cost of use was £4 for a full wash (which appeared to be £1 for 30 mins of power) and £1 for 30 mins of drying time, which felt expensive, and it would have been nice to have had known that we could have selected shorter cycles and paid less, or for a more efficient washing machine to be able to do cycles shorter. It was also £1 coin payment only which would have been good to know in advance. Other than the laundry though, it was a delightful campsite and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Great place

All aspects of our stay were perfect, well, aside from some rainy days, but that didn't stop us exploring the area. The site was perfect and the staff were very accommodating.

Beautiful site

Easy to find site with a friendly welcome. Beautifully landscaped with roomy pitches. Toilets were the best I have ever used on a campsite. Spotless, private, beautiful and well maintained. From the site you can easily travel to many places of interest. We had a fabulous weekend and we will definitely revisit.
