A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to Coedfryn Farm Camping! We bought the smallholding adjoining my parent's farm in 2018 and just wanted to share the beautiful part of the country that we live in.

We love running the site because it gives us a chance to meet so many lovely people who couldn't be happier to be here. We're most proud of the little extras we provide, like a private flushing toilet allocated to each pitch, a picnic bench and firepits with grills on each pitch and firewood included.

Our guests love the peace and quiet they get at our site, the lack of light pollution at night and the easy access to countless beaches nearby. And, of course, the alpacas!

Our aim to is to provide a real camping escape, secluded pitches, peace and quiet for young families, the extras you need, and none you don't want.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Amy and Hugo

Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

Small camping site situated on a farm. Seven pitches with ample facilities to service each pitch. We used our trailer tent on this occasion and the pitches are sizeable so plenty of room for our tent. Each pitch has an allocated flushing toilet contained in a block. There were two showers between two pitches. You get your own picnic table (for 4) and a campfire area complete with rod iron tripod and grill. Each pitch is given an allocation of firewood housed in an outside covered utility area. We have onboard cooking facilities but this area is big enough to use a stove to cook out of the weather. There is drinking water located in one of the outbuildings close by which also houses a fridge/freezer for your use. The owner checks on the pitches twice a day normally so if there is any issue I'm sure it would be rectified quickly. My daughter enjoyed the outside play area with a slide, swing and trampoline. There is also a barn with a variety of ride-on toys for all weather play. Two fields up from the campsite is a herd of Alpacas which are fun to visit but the dominant male is quite protective so a short stay is advised. There are a half a dozen resident sheep in by the entrance to the site who are friendly. You could walk for hours on the lanes, bye ways and paths around the campsite. The lovely picturesque village of Nevern is a short drive away. There you'll find a lovely church, castle ruins and a few amenities mainly a pub (which I'm sure I'll frequent next visit). Main supplies can be had at Cardigan 8ish miles away, with a large Tesco and Aldi in town along with all other manner of town trappings. There is a country store and petrol station closer with a wide range of food and essentials for sale but costly. The closest sandy beach is Newport Sands (less than 5 miles) which we have been to several times now. With it long stretches of sandy coastline, rock pools and safe (life guarded) swimming it is a personal favourite! There is also a medieval (Bronze Age) village and if you like horse the Shire Horse Farm both about 3 miles away. Both worth a visit. All in all a great short trip for my 9 year old daughter and I we would definitely revisit if in the area again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2023

The campsite is very big, there is alot of space on each pitch. My daughter enjoyed feeding animals and playing in the barn, small playground outside with a huge trampoline was a lot of fun. Each pitch has its allocated private toilet, toilet paper provided, shower nice and clean with hot water. Area is really quiet, nothing around just nature, few min drive to the shop and supermarkets, beautiful sandy beach 15 min drive. In the night when the sky was clear I saw a lot of stars, it was unreal!! Wood for fire provided daily. The gentleman who looked after the campsite was amazing, checking on us every morning and advising us about places to see. Top man!!!! I will definitely stay there again.

The local beaches, which are plentiful, start about 10 minutes' drive away. Newport Sands, a dune backed sandy beach which is plenty big enough for all your beach activities. At low tide, you can wade across the river to Newport Parrog and enjoy a refreshing drink at the Boat Club.

Coedfryn Farm is a haven for cyclists with a wide range of stunning and interesting cycle routes nearby. There are routes that hug the Pembrokeshire coastline revealing wide-open expanses of beach and towering cliffs at every turn. Turn inland for wild landscapes and remote enchanted hamlets with traditions stemming back generations.

The Pembrokeshire coast is thought by many to be the best in the country for walkers - miles of coastline, dramatic scenery, natural wonders to explore, and plenty of stops along the way. As you head away from the coast, a patchwork of footpaths and bridleway unfold across Pembrokeshire, leading you through the Preseli Hills, ancient woodlands and down into quiet valleys.

A little way to the East is Ceibwr Bay, home to the Witches' Cauldron (Pwll-y-wrach), a collapsed sea cave. The area is rich in wildlife with the cliffs providing a home to various seabirds while the waters here are a good place to spot otters, seals and dolphins.
