Good, clean facilities. The on-site shop closes at 7pm, which caught us out on the first night. Great location and a lovely walk along the cliff top to Cayton Bay. Lots of groups and parties over the weekend we stayed, which made it hard to get our little ones to sleep. We would return but request to be away from group bookings where possible.

The site was fine. It was very sad there wasn't a suitable pathway for us to walk down to the sea, as that is what I had booked it for. £30 for what we felt was just a park-up is too expensive and as I said, the big downside was the lack of being able to go to the sea.
Site's response
We do not advertise a path down to the sea. We are on top of a 300ft cliff!

This park is great for a short stay with a family with small children. The swimming pool and the play area were brilliant for the kids. Fish and chips were reasonably priced and very nice. Facilities were clean and warm and the bar quaint.

Lovely stay in a great location, between Filey and Scarborough. The campsite was relaxed with lovely views over to the sea, other campers were friendly and respectful of the campsite rules and there was everything you needed on site, or just a short drive away. The shower/toilet block was mostly always extremely clean, as was the sink/washing-up area. The campsite itself was also really clean with many bins on hand. Would definitely go back!

It was our first trip to Crows Nest. It was easy to find and the staff at reception were extremely friendly. The actual tent site was incredible. Lots of space and freedom to set up in a convenient location. The view we had of the ocean was absolutely incredible as you are right on the cliff with unobstructed views. The facilities were also incredible. Lovely kids playground with lots of equipment. The indoor heated pool with slides were a lot of fun and enjoying a drink in the on-site bar was a very nice plus. If you forget anything, there is also a well stocked shop on site and if the weather is not great for a BBQ, there is a fish and chip shop too, it's great! The shower facilities and cleaning facilities were also always clean and really warm with plenty hot water. We also loved that dogs were free and they had a dog park as well. Overall we had no problems at all and enjoyed our trip.

Enjoyed our stay, knew it was a bit out of season but just missed some bar meals or snacks. Otherwise we had a lovely time.

We went very early in the season so there was no entertainment for the children in the evening, but our grandchildren enjoyed the pool and the play area.

Site is really good. Facilities spotless. Early season so not a lot open and the on site pub only open in the evenings. Shop doesn't open until April 1st so a little inconvenient if things are needed. One big criticism for me to make was with regards to site traffic. Way way too fast, with no mechanism to advise or control. One way system good but people leaving site from the static caravan area go far to far around what is effectively a blind corner round past the shop. Even those entering the site were travelling too fast on a lot of occasions. This criticism is the only reason I didn't score five stars in every area.

Excellent place to stay, great facilities and perfect location for the Cleveland Way to Scarborough or Filey. A top site.

All very, very good. Toilets/showers only 4 out of 5: shower cubicles very small, only 1 hook on door, hard to keep clothes dry. Electric shower didn’t get particularly hot, even on max setting. Hand driers by the sinks weren’t working.

A lovely site to stay at. The location looking over the sea was just perfect. Only problem that we had was the pool seemed to be a bit dirty (i.e floating hair clumps, random bits floating). Apart from that it was just what we needed. Would recommend and will definitely visit again! Thank you.

It's a great place. Our third visit here, we really enjoy it and the kids love it. Perfect location to get to other places. It was very busy, so think it was a bit harder for the site to keep up with cleaning everything enough, but other than that great. We will be visiting again.

Stayed just 3 nights as a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children aged 12, 6 and 4. Although the location was great for quick journeys to and from Filey and the beach, the campsite really let everything down. We were put onto the overflow field which was totally understandable, having booked last minute over a bank holiday weekend, but it was way too overcrowded. People were pitching their tents practically on top of ours, which wasn't ideal. The portable toilets on the overflow field were filthy and overflowing. To use a half decent toilet was a fair walk especially with young children in tow. The main shower blocks were right at the top of the site - again a crazy walking distance for people with young children or the elderly. We only used the family shower room once, which was dirty. The floor area flooding because of no proper drainage system within the shower area 🤢 The only good things were the on-site indoor pool and the quaint bar. Having a chippy on site was an added bonus, but would still prefer decent wash facilities over these things. Did we still have a good time? Yes, but would we return? Unfortunately not. Maybe just invest some money into more toilets and shower facilities for the lower field and it would be a much more comfortable stay for all.

We loved this park. Such a fantastic location, good facilities. Cleaner was around from 6am (maybe earlier but that was when I saw them!) right through until the evening, mopping and cleaning the toilet block. Fantastic playground. Swimming pool is a bit tired but at £3, the kids were very happy and had fun. We had such an amazing weekend. Will definitely be back.

The location is fantastic, with a lovely coastal route starting from the park. We were in the overflow field and it was very busy over the bank holiday. The portable loos were not cleaned enough and were blocked most of the time. It was disgusting. The site's main toilet blocks are quite a walk away, and there were insufficient showers. We heard so many crazy, drunken arguments in other tents that it left like being on a reality TV show. There was no consideration for other campers in the evening, and some guests had loud music or screamed at each other until 3am. The swearing was intolerable at times, especially with so many kids around. There needs to be stricter rules about when to be quiet and these need to be enforced. It was a shame as the location was great, but we would never go back.

No layout, 5 dirty portaloos, overflowing bins. On arrival, the receptionist at the main caravan park directed us to the camping field and said park anywhere. It was reminiscent of a festival field full of tents, with no obvious layout. People were pitching up without any regard for getting cars out. I felt the 5 portaloos provided for all the people on the field were inadequate, ran out of water and didn't flush. The only way we could wash was by using the 3 showers on the caravan park, one of which was ice cold water only. We queued along with the caravanners. On leaving day, the bins were overflowing so people were just leaving rubbish everywhere. Absolutely dreadful experience for us. We've stayed at sites which had more pleasant and well maintained facilities. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend the site to anyone.

This park was a little gem. It had a gorgeous view of Scarborough in the evening, although situated closer to Filey (10 minutes to Filey, 20 minutes to Scarborough). We pitched a tent and the other campers were friendly. The toilet block isn't far and includes a pot wash station. Great for families! We were just a couple but you could see kids enjoyed themselves. Dogs almost seemed compulsory, again we didn't have a dog but they were well accommodated also. Would definitely stay again.
