High Lea Farm Camping is based in Penistone, South Yorkshire. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, it offers fantastic bike routes and a great range of walks on the doorstep, including the Trans Pennine Trail and Pennine Way. The site welcomes tents, campervans and caravans.
High Lea Farm is a family run, working milk farm. Being in such a wonderful, rural location, the family have opened up one of the farm's fields and turned it into a campsite. The site has access to the main road, but is nice and quiet with amazing views over the small countryside town of Penistone. There are 25 grass pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with a number of electric hook-ups available.
The site is open from mid April to mid September, though dates are flexible according to the ground conditions.
Grass pitches with more space than average, giving you plenty of room. Optional electric hook-ups available.

Children should be supervised at all times by adults.
Dogs should be also supervised and kept on a lead when near livestock / animals.
There is plenty to do around the area, especially for walkers and cyclists. Walking trails vary from flat and gentle strolls to challenging hill climbs, with routes including the Penistone Boundary walk, Barnsley Boundary walk, Kirklees Way and the Pennine Way.
There are a number of reservoirs close by too, with a five reservoir challenge taking in the most fantastic scenery and wildlife.
Also close by is the Trans Pennine Trail, which leads to several of the surrounding villages - and who knows, you might even catch the Tour de France route.
A private indoor swimming pool is available at Willow Lodge, just around the corner from the campsite. The local ice cream parlour, Yummy Yorkshire is 2-3 miles up the road, with a good café and regular functions held there.
Cannon Hall Farm and Museum is around 5 miles from the campsite which is a great day out for the family. As is Yorkshire Sculpture Park (about 9 miles away) where you can see many artwork and sculpture exhibitions.
