Willowbeck Farm is a peaceful adult only base nestled between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland National Landscape, ideal for walkers and cyclists. This small site offers spacious grass and fully serviced hardstanding pitches with electric. On the edge of Wigglesworth village with stunning views towards Pen-y-ghent, there's a handy enclosed dog field, wildlife, plus a welcoming pub less than a five minute walk away.

About the site


Unwind at this quiet adult only touring park set on the edge of the village of Wigglesworth, ten minutes from Settle in North Yorkshire. Perfectly positioned between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland National Landscape, the site offers panoramic views towards Pen-y-ghent and the Pennines. Tourers can pitch up on one of the five electric grass pitches measuring 6m x 8m, suitable for caravans, campervans and motorhomes, or one of the four fully serviced hardstanding pitches, secluded, and measuring 5m x 7m, suitable for roof tents, campervans and motorhomes. All pitches are equipped with a 10 amp electric hook up and WiFi, while the fully serviced pitches also include a water hook up and drainage point. For those seeking more comfort, the two bedroom larch-clad private lodge offers a rear decking overlooking the beck, an open-plan living/dining area with an L-shaped sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, and bedrooms with a king size bed, a double bed and twin beds. Please note that there are no toilets or showers onsite, so guests must be self sufficient. An off lead dedicated dog exercise field with trees, a bench and beck views is provided for your four-legged friends. Just a few minutes' walk from the site is a welcoming pub serving traditional pub classics such as roast dinners, pies, fish and chips, and more. Surrounded by wildlife and nature, the site also offers an excellent base for walkers and cyclists. Settle is only a ten minute drive away for supermarkets, pubs, cafes and its Tuesday market, with a bus service providing additional connections. The site is open year-round and maintains a calm, uncrowded atmosphere. Up to two dogs are welcome onsite, and there are plenty of walks surrounding the site. Raised BBQs are permitted, though campfires and fire pits are not.

Please note that there are no toilets or showers onsite, so guests must be self sufficient. There is free, strong WiFi, drinking water, and a chemical disposal point. For dogs, there is also an enclosed off-lead dog park where they can roam.

The Plough is less than a five minute walk from the site, serving a delicious menu consisting of pub classics, including steaks, risottos, pies, roast dinners, soups, and much more. Settle is less than a ten minute drive from the site, with shops such as Trevor's Market Shop, Co-op Food, Booths, and more.

*Check-in is between 1:30pm-8pm. Please check out by 11am. From 1st of October to the 31st of March, the latest arrival times are 7pm. No early check-ins or late check outs.

*Late arrivals must inform the site. Bookings are held for 24 hours. No refunds for poor weather, late arrivals, or early departures.

*The site is for adults only. Guests under 18 are not permitted.

*BBQs are permitted but must be placed on provided slabs (not directly on grass) and attended by an adult.

*Campfires and fire pits are not allowed for safety reasons. Open fires are prohibited.

*Dogs are welcome year-round. Must be kept on a lead at all times except in the designated dog field. Do not walk dogs around pitches or relaxation areas.

*Quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am. Keep noise (music, radios, car doors, etc.) to a minimum.

*Visitors are not permitted onsite.

*One car is permitted per pitch (included in some rates). Extras must use the designated parking. Motorbikes can sometimes substitute for cars.

*Tents are not allowed. Please follow the management instructions for setup. Breathable awning groundsheets only on grass pitches. No windbreaks.

*Bring a good torch (some areas are unlit).

*Bookings are non-transferable. Management can refuse entry or end a stay for inappropriate behaviour (no refund).


Things to do on site and in the Skipton area

The site is well placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just five minutes away, and the Forest of Bowland, ten minutes away, with miles of public footpaths and bridleways leading straight from the site. It's also a paradise for birdwatching, wildlife spotting and horse riding.

Popular walking routes include the long-distance Pennine Way nearby, along with Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss, around 30 minutes away, offering dramatic limestone scenery, waterfalls and breathtaking views. Keen hikers can also tackle Pen-y-ghent (25 minutes) and the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Cyclists are well catered for too, with Gisburn Forest just a 15 minute drive away, offering dedicated off road mountain biking trails, alongside quieter country lanes winding through the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland.

Settle is only a ten minute drive away, a bustling market town with independent shops, pubs, cafes, a Tuesday market selling fresh local produce and goods, and the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway. Skipton can also be reached in around 25 minutes, home to its historic castle, canal boat trips and lively market town atmosphere.
