About the site

Set in the the historic market town Wallingford, this family run site makes for a peaceful stay just 30 minutes from Oxford. A two minute stroll will take you to the River Thames where you can enjoy cruises or hire your own boat. The surrounding countryside offers scenic walks and national cycle routes. The site offers grass pitches for campers, tourers and motorhomes. each with a 10 amp electric hook up. A short walk over the part-medieval bridge takes you to the centre of Wallingford. Here you can find plenty of independent shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the regular Friday, Farmers and Local Produce markets. Wallingford is also recognisable as the original Causton from Midsomer Murder. There are numerous places to explore locally from the popular series. The site is dog friendly with up to three pups per pitch during low season or two pups per pitch during mid, high and peak seasons.

A ten minute walk will take you into the centre of Wallingford where you can find a Waitrose as well as a choice of great pubs, cafes and eateries.

For the little ones, there is a playground opposite the site which is open for public access as well as an outdoor splash park and heated swimming pool which is open from May to September.

The Thames Path and The Ridgeway National Trails are close by, along with cycling routes from The National Cycle Network. You can hire boats locally on the Thames and daily river cruises depart from the bridge between May and September.
