About the site
The site offers a peaceful base for exploring, set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, just ten mintues from Ripon and 30 minutes to Harrogate. The campsite enjoys views of rolling fields, with the charming village of Kirkby Malzeard a five minute walk away, where there's a pub, a shop and a butchers. The site offers 40 non electric grass pitches which are unmarked, so simply choose the spot that takes your fancy. These pitches allow tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. There are also nine electric grass pitches, each offering a 9 amp hook up. For guests visiting with four-legged friends, the campsite has a special fenced non electric pitch. This private, enclosed space has its own water tap and is ideal for dogs who like a bit more room to roam safely. It allows tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. There is also a unique range of glamping on offer. These include a snug camping pod, a tiny house cabin, an ensuite horsebox and even a converted double-decker bus with its own facilities. Hungry campers can head to The Wok Inn, the friendly onsite café. It serves hot and cold meals, sweet treats and tasty breakfasts. Opening times vary throughout the week, and during busy seasons, there's always someone around to help with snacks, coffee and cakes. A small shop at reception stocks handy essentials too. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three permitted per pitch. Please just ensure they are kept on the lead when onsite, unless you have booked the enclosed pitch. The site even has paddocks available for those wanting to bring their horse along. In the evening, you can cook up a BBQ or toast marshmallows over the fire pit, just please ensure these are raised from the ground. Mobile wood-fired hot tubs and fire pits can also be hired when onsite, delivered by a tractor to your pitch!
