The IOW also runs special events for several months of the year:
- May: the Isle of Wight Walking Festival

- July: Sandown Regatta and Sandown Carnival
- August: Shanklin Regatta, Shanklin Carnival and Cowes Week.
The Garlic Festival is just one mile away from the park.
