The pitches were a good size but it was very quiet due to the time of year. Lots of hedging providing privacy and wind breaks The shower and toilet block were very run down, only 2 showers in each ladies and gents for the whole site. There was very little or no cleaning during our stay.

I arrived late and was greeted with a smile and escorted to a cosy corner of this sweet park to pitch my tent in windy September weather - the hosts had thought of the best place to put me where I’d be most sheltered! They realised I was a woman travelling alone and asked me to call them without hesitation if I needed anything. So kind! The facilities were fab and freshly redone, repainted and included a hair dryer and hand soaps. The location couldn’t be better - within striking distance of the coastline, fantastic walks and touristy haunts Iike The Garlic Farm. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the end of a very wet summer and managed to get a good dry weekend. The site itself is great value for money and offers the facilities you would expect at this price point (access to toilets and washing up facilities). Showers were available for pre purchased tokens but didn't use these as were only there 2 nights so can't comment on them. The out buildings do seem dated, but are kept to a good clean standard, and comparing the cost to other sites, especially at last minute, you can't complain as still really good value for money. Decent sized pitch for large tent and vehicle. The pitch we had was surrounded by hedges so nice and private with plenty of space to move around. As we were on a large pitch, there was only one other pitch next to ours. The site itself was very clean. Electrical hook up was well located so didn't need to trail lead too far. There is also a small play area for the kids, and pond where ducks would appear in the morning which was nice.

We camped here whilst walking the coastal path, taking the bus from Sandown at the end of our day. It’s not too far from shops/amenities. The pitch itself was spacious and relatively private, and the staff/other visitors were all really friendly. Take 20ps for the shower if you’re staying!

Basically if you're offered the bottom field, refuse and ask for somewhere else...it's an absolute mudpit in wet weather and was treacherous to drive out of...saying that we had a warm welcome and there's a harvester and asda within walking distance
