About the site


Set within six acres overlooking Dartmoor National Park, this family friendly farm is just 30 minutes from Torquay, Paignton and sandy beaches. Start your mornings with a freshly made bap from Sebby's Coffee and Catering breakfast van before meeting the farm animals, including alpacas, ducks, donkeys, and more! Perfect for families, the site offers plenty to keep everyone entertained, with a playground featuring swings and climbing frames, a soft play area (open during high season), and a dedicated field for ball games. During high season, guests can also enjoy free tractor rides around the farm before winding down with food and drinks at the onsite restaurant. There are non electric grass pitches suitable for tents, roof tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans, and motorhomes. Electric grass pitches and electric hardstanding pitches come with a 10 amp hook up, while the fully serviced hardstanding super pitches include individual hedging, 10 amp electric, TV hook up points and waste water disposal. Static caravans are also available for a home-from-home stay. Ideally located close to the A38, the site provides easy access to many of the South West's top attractions. Dartmoor National Park offers walking trails and horse riding, while the seaside town of Torquay has plenty of beaches for a coastal day out. Dogs are welcome too, with up to three dogs allowed per pitch and a dedicated exercise field where they can run freely. BBQs are permitted, provided they are raised off the ground. Open fires are not allowed.

Guests have access to a modern toilet and shower block, including family shower rooms with baby changing facilities and an accessible bathroom. There is also a coin-operated laundry room with ironing facilities, an indoor washing up area and free WiFi throughout the site. Caravan storage is available.

Children can enjoy the onsite play area with slides, climbing frames and more. Dogs have plenty of space to explore in the six-acre dog walking field, while a separate gated field is available for ball games and other outdoor activities. A soft play area is open from 6:30pm to 10:30pm when the bar and restaurant are operating.

During high season, guests can enjoy regular farm walks every Monday, Thursday and Saturday throughout Easter, May half-term, the summer holidays and October half-term. Guests can meet, hold, and feed a variety of animals before ending the experience with a fun tractor ride around the farm.

Reception has an information room and a well-stocked shop for everyday essentials. Guests can also enjoy teas, coffees, and freshly made breakfast baps from Sebby's Coffee and Catering breakfast van. Miss Piggy's Trough offers a bar and restaurant serving food and drinks during high season, with both indoor seating and a dog friendly area.

For any extra essentials, a Co-op Food store is just a five minute drive away in Ashburton. There are also nearby dining options, including The Silent Whistle and The Rising Sun, both about a five minute drive away.

Things to do on site and in the Ashburton area

Animal lovers will be right at home here, with plenty of friendly residents waiting to meet you! Douglas and Jimmy, the site's donkeys, are always popular with guests and happy to pose for photos. During the main season, regular farm walks and tractor rides give guests the chance to hold guinea pigs and ducks in the pets' corner and help feed the animals around the campsite.

There is plenty to keep families entertained onsite too, including a playground, a ball games field, and a soft play area available during the main season. Evening entertainment takes place in the bar and restaurant throughout the main season, with quiz nights, bingo, singers, and children's entertainers

The site also makes a great base for exploring some of Devon's top attractions. The South Devon Railway is just ten minutes away by car, while Pennywell Farm offers even more animals! Decoy Country Park, 20 minutes away, is ideal for scenic walks, picnics, and sports activities around its lakeside setting.

For sightseeing, there are plenty of castles nearby to explore, including Totnes Castle (20 minutes), Haytor Rocks (20 minutes), and Berry Pomeroy Castle (25 minutes).
