About the site

This small, peaceful camping and touring site is just a five minute drive from Maenporth Beach and surrounded by scenic walking trails, offering guests a relaxed coastal escape. Set across 12 acres, the camping field includes a small play area for children, a sauna, a library and a well stocked onsite shop. Choose from non electric or electric grass pitches suitable for tents, trailer tents, caravans, motorhomes, and small campervans. Touring grass pitches with optional electric hook up are also available for caravans, motorhomes, and campervans. Popular spots like Godrevy (45 minutes), Portreath Beach (40 minutes), and the charming town of St Ives (just under an hour) are all within easy reach. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the ground. Sorry, open fires are prohibited.

Guests have access to a facilities block with toilets, free showers (with separate male and female cubicles), dishwashing sinks, a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, a clothesline, and a telephone kiosk. There's also an Elsan and chemical disposal point for tourers.

Additional amenities include a library, a sauna, and a well-stocked onsite shop for everyday essentials.

Dogs can stretch their legs in the off lead exercise area, while little ones can enjoy the small playground located next to the grass pitches.

For a bite to eat, The Red Lion pub is just a ten minute drive away and offers an extensive menu.

A note from the site themselves...

We are now the third generation to take care of the campsite, we are proud of the space and peacefulness the site offers, come and share it with us and lookout for the deer, kestrels, rabbits, owls etc that make this site special, some of our guests have camped here for over 50 years

Site rules and policies

*Please check-in by 12pm and check out by 11am on the day of your departure.

*Gas and charcoal BBQs must be raised off the grass.

*Sorry, the site does not allow open fires, fire pits, or burning logs.

*Please adhere to the displayed speed limit (10mph).

*Dogs must be kept on their leads at all times.

*Please respect other neighbouring pitches at all times, there is no noise after 11pm.

*The site does not allow bookings for large groups of single sex bookings, stag or hen parties.

Things to do on site and in the Falmouth area

The site is ideally located just a ten minute drive from Falmouth. While you're there, explore local shops, eateries, and cafes, or hop on the ferry for a scenic trip down the Penryn River.

For a fun family day out, visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (25 minutes away), home to rescued seal pups, grey seals, beavers, puffins, and more. There's also a gift shop and an animal adoption centre.

History lovers can head to Godolphin, National Trust (40 minutes), a historic house surrounded by over 500 acres of medieval gardens and countryside. Don't miss the onsite tea room for drinks, cakes, and sandwiches.

Nature enthusiasts can explore Trebah Garden (20 minutes), a botanical spot with woodland trails, lakes, and footpaths. Dogs are welcome too!

If you're up for a longer trip, visit Godrevy (45 minutes), known for its stunning cliffs and sandy beach popular with surfers, walkers, families, and dogs. From there, it's just an extra 15 minutes to reach the town of St Ives.

The site is also well located to explore several beaches, including Maenporth Beach (5 minutes), Gyllyngvase Beach (10 minutes), Trebah Beach (10 minutes), and Portreath Beach (40 minutes).
