Dale2Swale Glamping

Wonderful stay; wonderful host!

Definitely recommend! Our family and I had a fantastic two-night stay at Dale2swales during the Easter holidays. We were a group of six, including two adults, two teenagers, and two young children under eight, plus our furry friend. The spacious tent comfortably accommodated all of us, and we had an incredible time. From the moment we booked, Chris, our host, was in touch, eager to get to know us and suggest some enjoyable activities for our stay. He provided detailed information about the site and what to expect during our visit. On the day of our arrival, Chris called ahead to assure us that everything was set up and ready. His attentiveness was truly appreciated. The accommodation was ideal for a peaceful getaway in the countryside. The tent was spotlessly clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed and more. The comfortable beds and thick duvets, especially considering the cooler weather, were a big hit. Chris also made sure to provide plenty of extra blankets and hot water bottles. Our youngest children were particularly delighted with the 'secret' den, which they spent hours exploring and playing in. The tent is situated on a beautiful field, offering ample space for our dog to run around. The kids loved the open space and engaged in games of football and rounders. It's also the perfect location for exploring the nearby countryside. The facilities were impressive. We've stayed at other glamping sites, but none have had a fully fitted bathroom, which was a real bonus for us. There was plenty of space to prepare meals, and cozy areas by the log burner provided a warm spot to sit and play games. The tent is solar-powered, so there are no plug sockets. However, Chris provided enough lights to keep us well-lit. A cool box was also provided for storing refrigerated food, and Chris kindly replenished the ice packs daily. If you're considering booking at Dale2Swale, you won't be disappointed. If you're planning a larger group, you could easily book all three tents and have an unforgettable time together. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

Amazing off the beaten track location! Fully kitted out with fire pit, pizza oven and even log burner! Proper beds too! A true glamping style experience! Kids loved the cabin bed and den a great touch! Rainfall shower too! Pizza oven and fire pit/BBQ worked really well. You can pre-order meat from a local butcher who will deliver to the site for your arrival too. Access to a great pub a stroll away and lovely walk across fields and along river to Richmond. Host Chris couldn't do enough for us. Very welcoming, top tips on area, kept the cool box cool with fresh ice packs each day. Lovely bottle of complimentary Prosecco on arrival! Amazing! Recommend for all who fancy adventure but still like a few home comforts!

Amazing experience in the Yorkshire Dales

Took the family (wife and 3 kids) for a 2-night stay and it was brilliant. The location is remote enough that you have the privacy, but close enough to Richmond that it is a wonderful walk. Chris is a beyond excellent host and couldn't have done more for us. We had some special requirements around refrigeration for medication and he was able to accommodate them. The tent comes pretty much fully furnished so if you haven't been glamping/camping in a while, you don't have to worry about forgetting anything. Also, the size of the tent is ideal, with proper room separation similar to a small home! We made use of the BBQ and used the wood burner pretty much all the way through and it created the perfect atmosphere. The only regret we had, was that we couldn't have stayed longer! If you're contemplating glamping or staying in this area, don't hesitate... simply book this place and enjoy. I know we will be coming back and for much longer than 2 nights.
