Here, you will find non electric and electric grass pitches for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, motorhomes, and campervans. The site is dog friendly and secluded, ideal for walkers and cyclists, with Southampton just a 30 minute drive away. A local pub is a 15 minute walk away.

About the site

The site is a secluded, adult only getaway located just a 15 minute drive from the New Forest National Park and 30 minutes from Salisbury. Walkers, cyclists, and hikers will enjoy the many parks and trails surrounding the site, while keen fishers will find a great spot at Dandy's Ford Fishery just a few minutes' walk away. Spanning over 21 acres, the site offers a mix of non electric and electric grass and woodland pitches. There are non electric and electric grass pitches for suitable for tents only and non electric and electric grass touring pitches for roof tents, trailer tents, campervans, and motorhomes. Electric hook ups are available at 6 amps. The market town of Romsey is just a ten minute drive away, home to the War Memorial Park and Romsey train station, providing travel connections. If you're in the mood for a freshly cooked meal, a 15 minute stroll leads to a welcoming country pub, the Hatchet Inn! Well behaved dogs are very welcome. Campfires and BBQs are permitted, as long as they are raised off the ground to protect the grass.

Onsite, you will find a unisex toilet and shower block, as well as a washing up area.

A short 15 minute stroll will take you to the Hatchet Inn serving a range of burgers, roast dinners, pies, desserts, and drinks. Waitrose and Nisa Local are both within a ten minute drive.

Things to do on site and in the Romsey area

Bring your boots along, as there's plenty of rural rambling to be done in the New Forest National Park, located just a 15 minute drive from Meadow Tree Farm. Bike trails also run through the forest, and you can even saddle up and spot wildlife on horseback at Foxhills Equestrian, just a 20 minute walk from the site.

Other open-air activities nearby include fishing at Dandy's Ford Fishery, located right next door, or there is Go Ape! park, just half an hour away. Sailing lessons and boat trips can be enjoyed from Southampton or Lymington, both within a 45 minute drive.

For history filled days out, head to Salisbury to visit the Salisbury Museum, or explore nearby heritage sites like Romsey Abbey, Breamore House, or the vintage car collection at Beaulieu, all within a 30 minute drive. Animal lovers can visit New Forest Wildlife Park (20 minutes away), or head to Marwell Zoo and Manor Farm, both within a 30 minute drive.

There are also several scenic walking spots surrounding the site, including the National Trust's Mottisfont (10 minutes), Mayflower Park (25 minutes), and Royal Victoria Country Park (35 minutes).
