About the site


Set on the North Wales coast, the site offers a great base for exploring the region's beaches, mountains and attractions. Guests can stroll to Black Rock Sands in around 20 minutes, while the harbour town of Porthmadog is only five minutes away by car and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is also within ten minutes. Touring guests are welcome on fully serviced hardstanding pitches measuring 7.5m x 3m, complete with 16 amp electric, water and grey waste connections. For those seeking extra comfort, the park also offers a range of ensuite glamping accommodation. All units include bedding, towels, heating, WiFi, Smart TVs, private bathrooms and their own outdoor decking areas with furniture and a hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The glamping pods sleep up to four guests, with a double bed and a double sofa bed. Inside, the open-plan layout includes a well-equipped kitchenette with a hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, air fryer and kettle, along with an ensuite shower room. Outside, the decking area is also gated. The Designer Studio Suites also sleep up to four people, offering a private double bedroom and a mezzanine sleeping area. The kitchens are fitted with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and air fryer, making them ideal for cooking up tasty meals. Large windows and patio doors help create a bright feel, while the partially covered decking is great for cosy evenings outdoors. Ideal for couples, the shepherd's hut sleeps two in a cosy double bed. Alongside the ensuite bathroom, guests will find a kitchen equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle and air fryer. A log burner is great for those winter months, too. The park has plenty of handy facilities, including free WiFi throughout, a well-stocked shop selling everyday essentials, local produce and freshly baked treats, plus an adventure playground with climbing equipment, swings and a sandpit for younger guests. Dogs are welcome across the park, with up to two small dogs or one medium to large dog permitted per pitch or glamping unit. There is also a handy dog wash to help clean muddy paws after countryside and beach walks. Raised BBQs are welcome, but open fires are prohibited.

A washing-up room, communal fridge and freezer, and a dog wash are also available. All glamping units have ensuite facilities. A laundry room includes coin-operated washing machines and dryers.

The onsite shop is open 9am to 5pm daily with essentials, local produce and a bakery section. Free WiFi is also available across the park. For kids, there is an adventure playground with climbing frame, slide, sand pit and swings.

For food and drink, Black Rock Beach Club and The Schooner Fish and Chip Shop are within a 20 minute walk. For a larger supermarket, Aldi and Tesco are within a ten minute drive.

Things to do on site and in the Porthmadog area

One of the biggest draws is Black Rock Sands, which is just a 20 minute walk from the park. This stretch of golden sand is one of the most popular beaches in North Wales. Backed by dunes with views across Cardigan Bay, the beach is famous for its unique feature of allowing cars onto the sand.

For something special, the village of Portmeirion is only 15 minutes away. Designed in an Italian style, this colourful coastal village is filled with gardens, pretty buildings and hidden pathways.

Railway enthusiasts will love the nearby Ffestiniog Railway (10 minutes). One of the world's oldest narrow-gauge railways, it offers steam train journeys through the landscapes of Eryri. The route passes through forests, mountains and valleys.

History lovers should make time for a visit to Castell Cricieth (15 minutes). Perched on a rocky headland overlooking the sea, this medieval castle has guarded the coastline for centuries. Visitors can explore the ruins while enjoying views across Tremadog Bay.

For visitors seeking adventure, Zip World Llechwedd is around 30 minutes away. Set within a former slate quarry, this exciting attraction offers a range of activities including underground adventures, high-speed zip lines and challenging underground obstacle courses.
