Trailer Tent - Grass and Gravel Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

If you're going with young children, I'd strongly recommend doing your research as to whether or not this is a good site for you. There is no playpark or indeed anywhere at all for kids to play. It's a very small site with absolutely nothing at all on site, so if you've forgotten anything, you'll need to drive into Beaminster (granted only 5 - 10 mins away) to get it. There's just 1 toilet and 1 shower for the whole site, so be prepared to wait. And wait. And then wait a bit more. The electric hook up is paid for with coins but £1 did us for 2 days so that was really good. £1 gets you 7 minutes in the shower, which, to be fair, is a good shower. It's also a dog friendly site but absolutely nowhere to walk your dog. All in all, it's just about okay as a base if you don't mind waiting for the solitary toilet and shower, and it's cheap (I can see why now) but if you've got kids, I'd probably suggest to look elsewhere.

Great quiet spot

VW-Type Campervan - Grass and Gravel Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

Great campsite and facilities. Nice dog walking field (must be on leads and pick up mess). Nice, clean toilets and somewhere to wash the pots. Didn't use the shower. Drinking water available and bins. Electric hook up paid at meter. Overall, lovely overnight stay and would recommend at £21 a night.

Lovely campsite, friendly and helpful owners

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Grass and Gravel Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)Jul 2026

Stopped over just for the night, very comfortable campsite, beautiful location. Owners friendly and exceptionally helpful. Really liked the metered hook up, very good value for my use. Didn't need to use the shower, but toilet was very clean. Could possibly do with a second toilet, but not a major issue, just an added bonus. Overall, very happy.
