Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Jul 2025 We had a 5day stay, would have been nice to have had at least 10 nights.
Lots of beautiful beaches in the vicinity but few accessible to a wheelchair user. A generally peaceful site and we had plenty of room. The site had 3 showers and 3 loos none of them accessible (steps into the building)-out of season this was fine, during peak season I would imagine it would become a little congested.
The site was split in two pieces one a camping and caravan club cl site for 5 caravans/motorhomes and the bigger area for tents/caravans/ motorhomes.
If you are a nervous driver with your caravan on narrow lanes perhaps not the site for you.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2025 The facilities were clean, water was hot & easy distance from my spot.
Not sure how it would be when it's busy as it was quiet & there are only 3 of each but it worked for me!
Pitch was clearly labelled and instruction were sent in advance which was helpful.
The view was beautiful, could see the ocean from any pitch, beautiful sunset!
Easy access down a lane to the coastal walk path which you could enjoy for miles either way. Also some lovely spots close by to drive too.

Very quiet with loads of room. Very close to beautiful beaches. Couldn't ask for more.
The only bind for me was walking 3 fields to collect water but I knew that before I went.
Beautiful place would definitely stay again. Thank you.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Shortlands Farm was nothing short of incredible.
We stayed in the electric pitch which had the most incredible view of the sea with a sunset to die for each night!
The facilities were clean and tidy. Warm showers and a washing up facility too. A fire pit is included in every pitch which was a real added bonus.
We brought along our dog who enjoyed it just as much as we did with a short walk to Druidston beach which was quiet.
It's safe to say we will be returning! Thank you for having us :)

A really positive experience
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Sep 2024 The weather had been predicted to be atrocious, the rest of the southern UK were suffering floods but we decided to carry on with our tour of west Wales beaches.
The site was quiet, only 10 others around while we were there. The views are fantastic, the walks are lovely as is the Druidstone Haven beach. The pitches are spaced well apart and the layout of the pitches is a really positive feature of the site. The toilets and showers were clean and all working perfectly. The footpath to the coast was flooded and extremely difficult to walk along but that was due to the extreme rainfall over the period of our stay. Normally it wouldn't be like that.
It hasn't put us off and we will be back for sure.
The best view!
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Sep 2024 The campsite was located overlooking a stunning bay, down a bit of a bumpy lane but no problem if you drive carefully. Massive, flat and level field which allowed great size pitches.
The shower block was clean and showers were nice and hot. A hairdryer might be a nice addition. Everything else you need is there. Very peaceful site, didn't see the owners at all but knew how to get hold of them if there were any issues, which there wasn't.
Very happy and enjoyed our stay.

Not a site for everyone Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The pluses are very large and flat tent pitches, great views and because of its spaciousness, the site is nice and peaceful and quiet.
But there are only three showers (no coins needed), three toilets, and two basins. All in one room, so completely unisex (as advertised). For a large site, this is pretty meagre and involved some queuing, which is sort of okay, but if you are at all squeamish, be ware that the toilet cubicles are not fully enclosed, open at the top and bottom, so privacy is minimal, which might make you feel uncomfortable.
Druidston Haven beach is in walking distance, but it's about twenty minutes and a steepish climb back. Keep an eye on the weather, as is the case with all coastal sites, it can get very windy and the site is pretty open and exposed. Not our business, but building a mirror image of the bathroom area to make identical male and female bathroom facilities would make this an absolutely 5 star site!
Restful and peaceful with beautiful views
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Had a wonderful week at Shortlands. Weather was okay, but the campsite has no control over that. It was windy all the time but if you want the views this is something you have to expect. Walk to beach was 10 mins but be aware there are hills to walk up coming back.
Good base for exploring area. Pitch size fantastic - largest pitch we have ever been on. Other campers and locals - friendliest people we have ever met. Quiet and restful. Amazing views. Good location to beach.
Electric pitches a distance to the amenities - most people drove down. Facilities are unisex - we found this a little uncomfortable.
We would not visit again as a long distance to travel, but this is our choice and nothing to do with the campsite. If you want a retreat, this is the place for you.
Quiet, beautiful site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Jul 2024 Lovely, clean, quiet site, owners were quick to reply when I needed to change the date of our visit.
Great location, wonderful sea views. Short walk to road and shuttle bus to St David's. Bit of a hike to the beach, but lovely when there.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Absolutely amazing campsite! Beautiful views, location and amazing facilities. Big showers, very clean wash areas, big washing up area, free charging point and freezer use.
Hugely recommend and will 100% be returning.
Lucky with the weather Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Jul 2024 The site had beautiful views towards the sea and was perfect for getting onto the coastal path in either direction, and down to the nearest bay which was large and sandy when the tide was out.
For those who wanted a pub, the Druidston Hotel was only 10 mins walk away. We were on the caravan and motorhome site and had loads of space to position the caravan exactly how we wanted.
If asked 'would I recommend Shortlands' I would have to mention all of the above, including that it was very peaceful, but also say that personally, for us, the site was too basic and too remote. We missed not being able to buy food such as bread and milk on site, and did not like the toilets and showers for use of both men and women, nor that the door was always kept open so anyone could walk in. There were times when the paper dispenser was empty and the bin overflowing. It was also strange not meeting the owners of the site at any time.

The pitches are allocated and generous in size.
Facilities are always clean and provision made for freezing ice blocks.
Campsite is promoted as a quiet site. Most people were walkers and families.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Member Only) Jun 2024 Situated just 5 minutes walk from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the site is well placed for anyone wishing to explore the coast. Very little close by (pubs, shops, etc.) until you get to Broadhaven (an hour's walk for us) except for a hotel, so bear in mind when planning what you need.
Only 3 stars for service because we never saw anyone - remote check-in, no-one coming round to see if all was okay, etc. We were allocated a pitch, which did not have a stunning sea-view but a view of a hedge.
The site itself is very roomy and flat pitches but if you're on the camper and caravan reserved spots, make sure you're not allocated number 3 or 4. That aside, it was a really good stay.

Quiet and remote

Lovely, convenient, efficient campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Lovely campsite. You can see the beach from your pitch. Shower/toilet block is within a 5min walk from all pitches (literally 1min if you're in the front paddocks).
Didn't have to faff around with check in or check out (we were a non electric tent pitch), just got our pitch number, set up, slept, and left without needing to sort anything out with the owners, which was really nice and hassle free.
3 toilets, 3 showers, some outside sinks for washing dishes, each pitch has a fire pit, and a big multiple charging port is included in the shower block (very helpful to charge phones and electrics whilst showering if you didn't get an electric pitch!) The showers were very nice- very high pressure and warm so definitely make sure to have one.
It was very remote, so a lovely quiet getaway, if that's what you're looking for. Birds tweeting and cows mooing. Gorgeous to wake up to the summer sun on the tent and look over at the view. Perfect for visiting all around Pembrokeshire - we went up to the Blue Lagoon, St David's, White Sands Bay, and Solva all in a day as it's all so close.
The only critique would be the fact there's only 3 toilets and 3 showers - it was no big issue for our time there in May as it wasn't that busy, but I can imagine this gets incredibly busy during the summer, so keep this in mind.
Overall a lovely campsite which we will be returning to!

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 We had a wonderful stay at Shortlands Farm, the site is well kept and the facilities were spotless. The views from the site stretch for miles and the nearby beach is spectacular. I would highly recommend this site and look forward to visiting again soon.

Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2024 Location is great, beautiful beach just a 20 minute walk away. Lovely view of the sunset. Pitches are spaced out nicely so you aren't too close to people. Facilities are nice and clean. Each pitch has its own fire pit, would definitely stay again and recommend.

Close walking distance to two beaches down the lane turn right quiet pebble beach
Down the lane turn left two mile coastal path walk to a sandy beach for an ice cream and a coffee/tea but keep pets and small children under control as path is close to the edge in parts
Overall campsite spot on for sea sunset views and close to beaches
Great site, we loved our pitch looking out over the sea
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2023 Admittedly we were out of season but we loved having the field to ourselves (nearly). It was our first campervan stay, so nothing to compare it with, but it certainly sets the bar high.
We had a great pitch with loads of space. The fire pit is also a great extra.
Showers and washing up area was clean and adequate.
