You can pitch your tent in nature or settle down in the warmth and comfort of the byre or camping barn. The Cleveland Way is just one field away from this base, with stunning views for miles right from the site.

About the site

Home to unmissable views of the Hambleton Hills and Yorkshire Dales. The farm has been farmed by the same family for over 60 years and is great for families - plus very dog friendly. Camping is on grass pitches without electric. The camping barn offers you shelter in all weathers and at an affordable price. It has the warmth of a cosy wood burner and you can either rent a sleeping bag on site or bring your own. It comprises mattresses, full size cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, pots and pans. There are several tables and chairs on the ground floor. The site also includes the Byre which is located next door to the toilet and showers. This sleeps up to five with a few extra luxuries, a kitchenette, double and single beds.

Things to do on site and in the Whitby area

Make tracks straight for the Cleveland Way which takes you over the moors and onto the coast. You won't have far to go to reach beautiful bays and the North Yorkshire Moors offer spectacular scenery.

There are lots of walks direct from the site, including Captain Cook's monument and the famous Roseberry Topping. The Esk Valley trainline runs from Middlesbrough to Whitby, and can be joined in the village. Whitby is approximately half an hour by car.

Saltburn is also something of a surfing haven. For even more splashing good times, try the Tees Barrage watersports centre, where you can try your hand at a canoe or raft.
