About the site
Nestled within the peaceful woodlands of Ghyll Head, this small glamping site invites guests to enjoy a relaxing break in the Lake District National Park. Just a stone's throw from the shores of Windermere, this is a great base for those looking to enjoy watersports or see the attractions of Bowness-on-Windermere. There are nine self-catered pods onsite, each accommodating between two and five people. The pods are a fantastic alternative to traditional camping, great for couples, families, and those less familiar with tent pitching. Each pod features comfortable single beds with mattresses, underfloor heating, two plug sockets, five USB charging points, LED lighting and lockable doors for privacy. Outside, you will also find a picnic bench for al fresco dining, along with access to the shared facilities nearby. Please note that bedding and linen are not provided by the site. However, onsite parking is available for ease of access. If you want to cook up your own food, guests can also make use of the communal food prep area with a fridge/freezer and microwave. BBQs and camping stoves are also welcome, though fire pits are prohibited. Four-legged friends are also welcome to come along, with up to two permitted per pod. Please keep dogs on a lead when onsite.
