About the site

This camping base is family-run and offers a peaceful break in a rural setting, less than two minutes from the M6, with the Lake District and beautiful Yorkshire Dales both 15 minutes away. This is a nice stopping off point if you are on a long road trip, whether southbound or northbound. It is for adults (16+) only to ensure a relaxed atmosphere! Tent pitches are spacious and the tent field is never overcrowded. All tents enjoy complimentary, fast and reliable WiFi and if you book an electric pitch, you'll have a 10 amp hook up too. The pitches for campervans, sprinter campervans and motorhomes are flat hardstanding pitches, with electric hook up and water adjacent to them. You can meet the wildlife along the adjacent Lancaster Canal, which is home to ducks, swans, herons and more - perhaps even cattle paddling in the canal at times! The site is dog friendly with the canal towpath making a great place for your four legged friends to stretch their legs or for humans to have a wander and unwind. There is a shop in a 24-hour petrol station and a bakery in the village of Endmoor - both are about a ten minute walk away. Please note, the youngest age of someone staying is 16 years old. Little Acre only takes single pitch bookings and does not accept groups. The onsite WiFi covers the entire site.

Little Acre Camping is open from 27/02 to 07/11. Pitches from £27/night for 2 people.

Oct 2025

The chap who runs the site was friendly and welcoming. We had a tent pitch with electric hook up. The toilet and shower block were like nothing I've ever seen on a camp site. Immaculate, clean and heated. This wasn't some spidery shed, these were like the bathrooms you'd get in a hotel! I never realised there was so much to do within a short distance of the site. We were only there two nights but we'll definitely be back. I'd highly recommend this site.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Tent PitchesOct 2025

Where to begin. A friendly welcome by the family who own the site, providing good information about the site and local area. The modern facilities are very clean and well maintained. The site is set in an excellent location with walks straight onto the Lancaster canal or as its set on the edge of the lake district, there is so much to do with out travelling far. The Crooklands Hotel across the road from the site serves fantastic locally sourced food, served to a high standard by friendly welcoming staff and a good range of local ale to complement. I would recommend booking a table as they do get busy. Well behaved dogs are welcome. I would definitely recommend this site and we will be returning as soon as we can.

Site's response
