VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesOct 2025

Lovely weekend getaway, as a couple. We really enjoyed going on woodland walks, being able to walk over and do go ape and hire bikes! The toilets and kitchen area was kept clean and easy to get to. They were very accommodating for us we paid £5 and checked out at 4pm on the Sunday making the most of the weekend.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

This was my first time staying at Sherwood Pines. This campsite was amazing and is surrounded by so many amazing hiking routes and bike trails. I arrived on a Friday so it was packed with families who, although very loud, looked to be having a great time. The park quietened down significantly by Monday. My only real negative was that the facilities don't allow dogs in. I couldn't find anything regarding this online and as a solo traveller, I can't just leave my dog whilst I shower or do the washing up. I'd actually not booked with another site as this wasn't allowed. As stated online, you can't leave dogs unattended, so I was stuck both leaving the dog outside unattended or breaking the rules and bringing him in. I think it's useful for solo campers to be aware. I did chat to the lovely staff who said I could take him into the facility block but I was getting a lot of disapproving looks from other guests who weren't aware. Apart from this the campsite was great. Loads of wildlife, the site was full of rabbits of an evening. There were a few moles who kept hiding under my tent so watch out for that! Great sized plots and nice and clean throughout. I probably won't be back due to the dog situation but would recommend to families or couples.
