About the site
Explore the nearby Lake District or escape everyday life from the peace of your own glamping pod, this peaceful countryside retreat is nestled in the Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve and is perfect for nature lovers. There are five cosy glamping pods for up to two people in a comfy king size bed with all bedding, linen and towels provided. Additionally you'll have an ensuite with a walk in shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rail and complimentary toiletries. You'll have your own well-equipped kitchenette complete with a two ring ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, microwave grill, fridge, crockery, pans and utensils. There's also a small dining area as well as a comfy sofa, USB sockets, WiFi, a Smart TV and and a hairdryer. Outside you'll have your own decking area with seating, a BBQ and a fire pit, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining whilst looking out over the spectacular views. Enjoy the countryside in peace and quiet or venture out to explore the stunning Lake District National Park. Dogs are welcome in just one of the pods, but must be kept on the lead. Open fires are welcome but only in the provided fire pits. Wood and charcoal may be purchased onsite.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect! The glamping pod was the most gorgeous I've ever seen! The cleanliness, the facilities and the heart-warming welcome and farewell from Carol and Howard topped it off! The perfect distance in being away from the business but also easy to get to both Kendal and Windermere. It is so well suited to many and I definitely will be recommending to others!

Finding the location was so easy, when we got there we were welcomed by the owners who were so so lovely, kind and thoughtful. It was so clean and organised, for the fire pits there was a little shed where all the wood was, they made you feel so welcomed too. When we were about to leave, one of the owners had a lovely chat with us and wished us a safe journey home. Couldn't recommend it enough. Definitely coming back soon.
