About the site

If you are looking for a holiday full of family fun and days out at the beach, this spacious holiday park could be the perfect choice. Just 15 minutes from the glorious shores of Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay, you will be in a prime spot for exploring some of Cornwall's most popular destinations. The campsite is split in to three fields, Fistral Field, Watergate Field and Crantock Field. There are a total of 185 pitches, each with a 16 amp electric hook up available. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are welcome on the electric grass pitches, each measuring 10m x 8m and allowing up to four guests and units of up to 6.5m x 3m, without guy ropes. For those staying in a larger unit, the large electric grass pitches allow up to six people and are 12m x 8m in size for units of up to 8.5m x 5m in size, again without guy ropes. Caravans and motorhomes also have the option to opt for one of the fully serviced hardstanding touring pitches. There pitches welcome up to six guests and are each 12m x 10m in size with a 3m wide gravel hardstanding area, electric hook up, water point and grey waste hook up. There is so much to keep the whole family entertained that you don't even need to leave the site to stay busy. Take a dip in the swimming pools, play a round of mini golf, get competitive in the onsite Laser Tag, race down the Slip and Slide or even zoom around on one of the Cornwall Segway tours. The site also offers seasonal fully serviced pitches, along with a range of cottages sleeping up to eight people. BBQs are also welcome onsite so don't forget to pack the cool box. Please note, campfires are prohibited. Four legged friends are also allowed to join you for your stay, with up to two welcome per pitch.

A good location for Newquay and the entrance to site looks good. The toilets and showers were not good and I feel as if they need a refurb asap, as they were very dirty! Didn't use the swimming pool so can't comment on this.

VW-Type Campervan - Large Electric Grass Pitches - Fistral FieldAug 2024

Booked for 5 nights but left after two. Pitches were quite small were placed on a pitch directly opposite a toilet. Washing up block, facilities massively run down, showers were mouldy, doors broken, toilet seats all stained. Swimming pool is a farce, no option to book the indoor one as fully booked instantly. We didn't realise people from outside the park could also book into it! Outdoor pool looked run down. Also, there were weeds growing everywhere and pool seemed dirty. Was glad to see the back of the place. We did complain about the facilities and the staff were helpful and gave a refund (couldn't fault the staff at all). However, the site could really do with some TLC.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches - Fistral FieldAug 2024

When I arrived at reception to book in, there was no confirmation of my booking. This took the staff approximately an hour to sort and confirm my booking. They did apologise to be fair. There was no pitch allocated for me and my family, so we were squeezed onto a corner of a pitching area in the Watergate field that was not officially a pitch. It had no number, was overgrown and had uneven ground for the tent. We shared the water tap which was normal, but the tap was hogged by a caravan owner who got funny with us every time we disconnected his connector to get water for our kettle. The showers were filthy and blocked with sand, so when showering, the water was not draining away and dirty water was coming up into the shower tray. My partner, when showering, had to lift the door to be able close the shower door properly for it not to leak onto the floor of the cubicle. Then, when he was in the shower, he had a dirty mop come under the cubicle door to mop the floor and got his trainers wet! The cleaning attendant was female and did not shout she was coming in to let the men know. The shower block was very dirty and not attended to for long periods of time. My family and I tried booking for the indoor pool on both days we were there but no availability at all. We braved the outdoor pool. I found plastic beakers floating in the pool and the floor was green from all the algae! The on site shop was poorly stocked, had nothing but sweets and crisps - literally, that is it! For the money I paid, £130 for 2 nights, it was expensive, disappointing and I was upset with what I got!
