Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Really nice site, described as it was online. Couple areas closed, but one main camping field and one caravan field. Showers and toilets always available, water tap with pitch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large marked out pitches.

Fine for one night!

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We needed to stay in the area for one night so the location was good for our needs. There are tourist attractions nearby so again it's a good location. The tent pitches are all thrown together. They seem higgledy piggledy in one big field, just blue sprayed lines in the ground marking them out. We were right on top of other campers with no space or privacy. I wouldn't have wanted to stay for longer than the one night or spend time on the campsite with my family. It could be good if your with a large group as you'd all be able to pitch together. The showers facilities were clean but "tired". We didn't use the shop, reception or cafe as were there for such a short period of time.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Serviced PitchesAug 2025

On arrival, we were greeted by the male worker. Friendly and welcoming, explained everything we needed to know. Shortly after setting up, our dog slipped her collar and just run out the caravan door and within seconds, we got approached by a female manager (we think) who came out and abruptly said we needed to put her back on her lead like it was neighbourhood watch. When it comes to facilities, half of them were not working, there was only one toilet/washing up block working for caravaners and tent stayers which was a distance to walk. We also paid for a fully serviced pitch which it wasn't, we had electric and water but no water waste so thankfully, we had brought our waste master with us (we never normally do) to use but that's the whole idea of a fully serviced, so you don't need to use them. Then, we had the smell, literally next to where we were staying was the toilet block waste storage area for caravan cassettes. And it absolutely stunk! To the point where we couldn't sit outside and needed to shut the van windows. We came with our 12 week old baby and it was absolutely horrendous for him to smell too. Fair enough if it was a farm but it wasn't, it was just human waste. The whole site in general is pretty derelict and run down, left messy with half the site just fenced off, all overgrown. Such a shame because previous reviews from months or a year ago where great, so not sure what's changed, but completely wasted our money and honestly won't be returning. Thanks.
