There are 400 grass and hardstanding pitches for tents and vans in green fields and woodlands between a lake and river. About the site
Enjoy natural camping in a beautiful valley nestled below mountains beside Llyn Gwynant, with the river Afon Glaslyn running by. Choose from a range of electric and non electric hardstanding or grass pitches, suitable for backpacker tents, tents with cars, roof tents, and small to medium campervans. Pitches are available for vans along hedgerows and for tents, there are spaces near the lake or in green camping fields with parking nearby. Iconic walking routes are accessible directly from the site, with the Watkin Path, PyG, and Miners Track up Yr Wyddfa just a walk or short drive away. The lake is ideal for swimming or boating and is free for campers to use. Boat hire at the riverside offers canoes, kayaks, Canadian canoes and paddleboards to rent by the hour. Or bring your own at no charge. Enjoy the environment without damaging it, as state-of-the-art off-grid systems here make sure it is properly looked after. Advanced waste processing, solar arrays, and water treatment are used, and the site also engages in conservation farming, tree planting, and conservation grazing. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two per pitch. There is a woodland dog-walking area for them to explore off-lead. BBQs are permitted, provided they are raised. Please note that disposable BBQs are not allowed. Campfires are also allowed, provided they are on raised fire pits, which the site can provide for free, or you can bring your own. Wood must be bought onsite.
