About the site

Enjoy stunning views of the South Downs Hills at this lovely site, situated in a Dark Sky Reserve and set on the Firle Estate within ten minutes of the historic town of Lewes. With their unique offer of 'gastro camping', you can join the delicious breakfasts and dinners cooked for you by your hosts over a wood fire using locally sourced ingredients, or cater for yourselves. Walkers and cyclists have easy access to the popular South Downs Way from the site. This large meadow has plenty of room for its 35 pitches, five of which are reserved together for campervans and motorhomes under 7m. Other than these, the site is vehicle-free, so kids can run around. Cars park up on arrival, and large wheelbarrows are provided for you to ferry your gear to your pitch. There are also a handful of spacious 5m canvas Touareg ready-tents which can sleep up to 6 guests. Each is equipped with comfy air beds (please bring your own bedding and towels), cosy bedroom lighting, a table and two benches, with hot water bottles and blankets available on request. The picturesque village of Firle is close by, with its charming cottages, pub, village shop, and playground with a zip-wire. Middle Farm shop is also just a 20-minute walk from the site. The site welcomes up to three well-behaved dogs (though not in the ready tents). The site owners just ask that dogs are kept on a lead onsite. BBQs and campfires raised off the ground are welcome. You can bring your own, or fire pits and firewood can be hired onsite.

The site is only open on weekends and every day during the school holidays up to 31/08.
