Mid Cornwall Camping Certificated Location is a CAMC members only site, five minutes from the A30 with routes to local beaches like Fistral Beach and Great Western Beach (20 minutes). It is a small, family friendly base that is home to five spacious, fully serviced hardstanding pitches for tourers, as well as an enclosed dog area. About the site

This 1.5 acre family friendly site is situated in the heart of Cornwall, a short five minute drive from the A30 and 20 minutes to several family friendly attractions, including the Eden Project, Lappa Valley, Newquay Zoo and more. There is a fully enclosed dog exercise area for your pups too. Onsite, you will find five fully serviced 10m x 15m hardstanding pitches with their own grass area and picnic bench. Each pitch is equipped with a 16 amp electric hook up, a water hook up, and a drainage hook up to suit caravans, motorhomes, and campervans. Please note that the site is for CAMC members only. It also does not have toilet or shower facilities, so guests must have access to their own. Beach lovers are well placed to explore both the north coast and south coast, both 20 minutes away and home to popular beaches such as Newquay Beach, Great Western Beach, Fistral Beach, Porthpean Beach, and Carlyon Bay, offering great watersporting opportunities. St David's is also only a five minute drive with shops and plenty of local pubs to try. Up to three dogs are very welcome per booking. Please ensure they are kept on their leads at all times, unless they are in the secure run area. Campfires and BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult.

Please note that the site does not have toilet or shower facilities, so guests must have access to their own. There is a fully enclosed dog exercise area, drinking water, a waste disposal point, and picnic tables surrounding the pitches.

For dining out, Commercial Inn, The Queens Head, The Blue Anchor Inn, and the Penhale Round Cookhouse and Pub are within a ten minute drive. For camping essentials, there is also a Marks and Spencer, a Co-op Food, and a Premier within ten minutes of the site.

*Visitors must leave the premises by 10pm.

Things to do on site and in the St Austell area

There are many family friendly attractions surrounding the site, including Screech Owl Sanctuary and Animal Park (10 minutes), Lappa Valley (15 minutes), Newquay Zoo (20 minutes), and Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay (25 minutes). Bodmin Jail Attraction (20 minutes) is a educational and immersive spot for ghost walks, and it also has an onsite restaurant.

For local walks and cycling routes, the Goss Moor Cycle Trail, Tregargus Waterfall, and Hosking Family Park can be accessed from the site within a five minute drive. The Goss Moor National Nature Reserve is a 15 minute drive away, offering plenty of scenic strolls and some riverside too.

White Acres Fisheries is ten minutes away with great opportunities for keen anglers!

Days exploring historical sites can be spent at Wheal Martyn Clay Works, a 26-acre clay mining museum, and Trerice, a 16th-century manor house, both a short 20 minute drive away. There is Restormel Castle too, which can be reached in half an hour.

You are well placed for relaxing beach days, as Great Western Beach and Fistral Beach, ideal for surfing and swimming, are 20 minutes away. Crantock Beach and Perranporth Beach are both a 25 minute drive from the site. St Austell is also 20 minutes away with shops, eateries, and other beaches, including Porthpean Beach and Carlyon Bay.
