Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Cheap and cheerful campsite, in a great location close enough to walk into Keswick and a close drive to buttermere for a day out. Toilet, shower and washing up facilities all on site and all very clean.

Basic but great

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

We visited this campsite on Easter weekend, and our first weekend camping. It was busy but relatively quiet - we slept amazingly! It’s a very basic site, but absolutely fantastic. Theres a river running alongside the bottom of the fields, the views of Blencathra and Surrounding mountains are amazing and the barn where the toilets are kept is basic… but clean. The location is fab - if you walk down the river path, heading right, you will come to Keswick golf club and the village of Threlkeld where there are 2 lovely pubs which serve food. Takes around 20 mins and is beautiful! There is also a bus which you can get from Threlkeld which takes you into Keswick. The managers of the site were very accommodating and I’d definitely return!

Great site
