This walkers' paradise peeps out from between two arching fells, tiptoeing by edge of a placid lake. One reason so many visitors come to this Lake District gem is to brave the classic heights of the Helvellyn Walk along Striding Edge and then reward themselves with a ride in the Ullswater Steamers.
